Helping Fire and eMS Save liveS

When a crisis hits, people count on you to save lives. Your

dispatchers and responders have the skills to make that happen.

Does your software have what it takes to support them?

Intergraph®’s Incident Management solution does. We give you insight

into unfolding situations, so you know what’s happening at the scene.

By integrating geospatial maps with incident and resource data, we help

you make smarter decisions with lifesaving speed and clarity.

New ZealaNd Fire ServiceWhen a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck

Christchurch and surrounding districts in

September 2010, New Zealand Fire Service

responded to devastating damage. It was

the largest disaster in 20 years, with more

than 1,100 incidents in the first four days,

New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) was

prepared to act. An Intergraph customer

since 1996, NZFS moved quickly from

response to recovery, and it was almost

business-as-usual within a fortnight of

the earthquake.

Ian Pickard, Assistant National Commander of

NZFS and Director of the NZFS Communication

Centres, said, “Intergraph’s solution enabled

us to respond quickly and effectively to one of

New Zealand’s biggest natural disasters,” said

Pickard. “Interoperability of the CAD system

ensured that all responding agencies could

see a common operating picture so we could

deploy emergency crews accordingly. We

intend to introduce additional technology as

part of our operations for even greater efficiency.”

Computer-Aided DispatchWhen lives are in the balance, you need the right tools, right

now. Intergraph’s CAD solution puts those tools in your hands.

We give you greater visibility into incidents, plus convenient

workflows and mobile technologies for mutual aid and

coordinated response. Our CAD heightens situational awareness,

improves call processing times, and gets you to the scene faster –

all while optimizing return on your software investment.

Value-Added EfficiencySave money with our convenient, out-of-the-box workflows!

Our pre-set configurations are based on best practices, and

easy configurability lets you customize as needed. Business

rules support “if/then” scenarios, pre-set mutual aid agreements,

standard recommendations, and other predetermined situations.

Locating the route to the closest hospital avoids unnecessary

delays, and CAD failover ensures emergency backup for

seamless communication in the event of interruptions.

These features and more add up to better response under

any conditions.

Mobile EmpowermentYou’re on the go, and the right information must go with you.

Our mobile software gives you easy remote access, and

supports a larger screen to allow for comfortable movement

while wearing protective gloves. We support today’s popular

browsers with easier interoperability, and the choice of numerous

mobile devices. That means you can update status, and access

local and national databases, ensuring up-to-the-minute data

wherever incidents take you.

Integrated Communications Our CAD system interfaces to third-party fire software to meet

the special needs of fire response. We bring you resource

optimization, records management, fire station alerting, printing,

and paging from leading providers, such as Deccan, ZOLL

Data Systems, Firehouse, FirstOnScene, Emergency Technologies,

Inc., Motorola, WestNet, CADVoice Locution, and Zetron.

Our interfaces are fully integrated with CAD to enable quicker resolution

of incidents. CAD automatically transfers relevant information, so you

don’t spend time entering basic incident data. This helps with continuity, so

staff can concentrate on urgent matters. It also ensures accurate reporting

to support justification for funding, and maintaining accurate records

for statistics and payroll.

Interoperability and InterfacesInteroperability and easy interface deployment are hallmarks of our

products. Our unique interoperability platform makes it easy to configure

NIEM-compliant, CAD-to-CAD interfaces that simplify mutual aid. Our

modern, no-code approach to interface development brings you fast,

low-cost connection to cameras, sensor systems, and networks. We

enable rapid deployment of inotifications, inbound alarms, outbound

data push, and two-way interoperability, for faster, more effective

data-sharing.

Making communities safer means using the latest technologies available.

Our support for SMS lets PSAPs include emergency texts in the CAD

workflow. Intelligent notifications promote reliable communications on

smartphones and other devices. Support for Microsoft® Bing and

Google Maps adds flexibility in visualizing geospatial data. And of

course, our technologies conform to Department of Justice and NIEM

standards for coordinated multi-agency response.

Smarter Decisions for FireIntergraph’s solutions for fire get you to the scene faster, optimize

resources, and cooperate with other agencies ... all while optimizing

return on your software investment. Public safety agencies in 28

countries trust us to help them save lives. You can, too.

Palm Beach couNty, Florida, uSa

Palm Beach Fire Rescue provides life-saving

services to 746,000 residents across 1,813

square miles. The agency depends on Intergraph

software to speed emergency call processing

and make smarter decisions for dispatch.

Our CAD solution even provides data

that helps Palm Beach smooth traffic for

responders. The CAD data tells the county’s

system that a rescue vehicle is approaching,

so it can dynamically change traffic lights to

green during incidents.

This cost-effective system is proving to

reduce accidents and cut response times

from five to two minutes.
