How they make it?

The artist gathers a glob of fused glass at the end of a hollow tube called a blowpipe or blowing iron. After this they twist the fused galss into tiny pieces of art to give it color. Then they blow on the pipe to make it the size they want it.

The second kind of glassblowing is lampworking. Lampworking is the softening of a glass tube by heating it in the flame of a torch. Next, the softened glass is manipulated into its final form by blowing and shaping with hands and tools.

I think Chihuly did an amazing job on Fiori Di Como. I picked this art piece because it really caught my eye when we watched a video over it. The way they made each flower glass was very interesting and educational to me because I had no idea how artist made glass sculptures.

ContextualismWhat others say about Fiori Di Como is basically the same as what I think. Guests at the Bellagio Casino are stunned when they walk in to see a huge and colorful work of art before their eyes. Chihuly says that a person might see the sculpture as flowers and another might say its something from the sea or a dream.

CONCLUSIONAlthough it takes time and a lot of work to make work of art with glass in the end it is all worth it. Chihuly’s great ideas turn into beautiful art work that bring light and a lot of color to whichever scene the work is in. Chihuly is very well known for all his beautiful glass work….
