Tujuan Untuk membuka kain ke bentuk lembaran/ lebar yang asalnya berbentuk lilitan/ untaian akibat hasil proses sentrifuge atau hasil celupan pada mesin jet

Prinsip pengerjaan Mesin ini untuk membuka kain dari bentuk lilitan/ untaian menjadi

lembaran kearah lebar kain dengan cara kain dilewatkan melalui rol pembuka puntiran kain dan rol pembuka kain kearah lebar kain

Perlu diperhatikan yaitu jalur kain, kain lembut, halus dan sambungan/ piece kain tidak buka terbalik

Menggunakan mesin washing range

Hasil kain yang diproses penyempurnaan tekstil dapat berbentuk :

a. Rope : bentuk kain dalam keadaan untaian dan hasil dari

proses pada mesin winch, jet, kier

b. Width : bentuk kain dalam keadaan terbuka lebar dan hasil

dari proses pada mesin jigger, beam, padding

Agar hasil kain untuk proses selanjutnya dalam keadaan bersih maka kain harus dicuci, biasanya digunakan mesin washing range

Tujuan Proses pencucian kain agar lebih bersih untuk diproses selanjutnya sehingga kain yang akan dihasilkan kualitasnya baik.

Prinsip pengerjaan Mesin ini untuk mencuci kain dalam Bentuk open width. Mesin ini

terdiri dari beberapa bak untuk tempat pencucian kain Kain dilewatkan ke rol-rol yang berada di bak pencucian dan kain

Melakukan pengeringan kain dengan mesin stenter

a. Proses Heat setting

Suatu proses pemantapan panas terhadap kain (pada umumnya) yang terbuat dari serat termoplastik menggunakan panas dengan tujuan untuk menstabilkan dimensi serat.

Prinsip prosesnya dilakukan dengan pemanasan temperature tinggi sambil di control dimensinya menggunakan stenter, lalu didinginkan dengan segera

Jenis proses heat setting :

Pre yaitu heat setting yang dilakukan terhadap kain grey, sebelum kain tsb mengalami proses persiapan penyempurnaan.

Intermediate yaitu heat setting yang dilakukan terhadap kain yang telah mengalami proses persiapan penyempurnaan.

Post yaitu heat setting yang dilakukan terhadap kain yang telah mengalami proses persiapan penyempurnaan dan proses pencelupan atau proses pencapan dengan zat warna tahan sublimasi dan tidak rusak pada waktu heats set

b. Stentering Suatu proses pada kain menggunakan mesin stentering untuk

tujuan merapihkan kain sehingga pinggirnya kain rata, kedudukan benang lusi dan benang pakan saling tegak lurus dan sekaligus mengatur lebarnya.

Prinsipnya pinggir kain dijepit / klip jarum stenter yang lebarnya diatur dan masuk ke kamar mesin stenter yang temperaturnya diset sesuai proses.

Hasil kain biasanya dipersiapkan untuk dicelup / di cap dalam bentuk open width.

c. Finishing Disebut juga penyempurnaan khusus, tujuannya yaitu proses

pengolahan tekstil setelah proses persiapan penyempurnaan, pencelupan, pencapan, secara fisika dan atau secara kimia untuk meningkatkan mutu tekstil tsb.Misalnya : sifat tahan kusut, resin finish, tahan air dsb

Prinsipnya kain yang akan di finish, sebelum masuk mesin stenter, harus dilewatkan pada mesin/ alat padder/ padding yang diisi larutan finish dan ruang pemanas temperaturnya bertahap sampai suhu tinggi mendekati titik leleh serat.

Prinsip stenter yaitu : Suatu mesin yang digunakan untuk memproses kain dengan cara

membentangkan kain kearah lebar kain dengan peregangan oleh jarum atau clip yang diatur oleh over feed dengan temperature bertahap sesuai ruang pemanas dan bergerak maju menggunakan rantai berjalan yang sekaligus memegang pinggir kain tersebut.

Mesin stenter umumnya digunakan untuk proses kain tenun.

Melakukan pengeringan kain dengan mesin silinder dryer

Tujuan

Biasanya dipakai sebagai pengeringan akhir kain setelah proses pencucian dalam keadaan open width (terbuka kearah lebar kain) umumnya untuk pengeringan kain rajut dan proses finishing kain rajut

Prinsip proses silinder dryer Umumnya mesin pengeringan silinder dryer terdiri dari beberapa

deret silinder panas yang tersusun vertikal dan berputar. Kain akan melewati silinder-silinder panas dimana pemanas

dipasang didalamnya kearah datar dengan kecepatan kain yang dikehendaki agar kain keluar menjadi kering (hasilnya kering).

Mesin silinder dryer biasanya dibelakang terpasang bak padder untuk proses finishing.
