Trusted evidence.Informed decisions. Better health.

Cochrane exists so healthcare decisions get better.

We’re a global, independent network of researchers, professionals,

patents, carer, and people interested in health. We have more than

36,000 contributors working in 136 countries, all producing credible,

accessible health information that’s free from commercial sponsorship

and other conflicts of interest.

We summarize the best evidence to help people make informed

choices about treatment. Over the past 20 years, Cochrane has helped

transform the way health decisions are made. And our work is now an

international gold standard for high quality, trusted information.

Cochrane Colloquium Seoul

Cochrane Korea is delighted to be hosting the 2016 Cochrane

colloquium at the Grand Hilton, Seoul. Cochrane’s annual

Colloquium is arguably the most prestigious evidence-based

health care event in the world. we expect more than 700 in-

ternational researchers, opinion leaders, and health experts to

attend the 2016 Colloquium, providing your organization with

a uniquely efficient opportunity to promote your work and

network with delegates.

Cochrane Colloquia are more than sci-

entific conferences. We provide training

at basic and advanced levels; opportu-

nities for scientific exchange and meet-

ings; promotion of the highest quality

research in evidence-based health care;

and the opportunity to further meth-

ods and ensure that all researchers

can meet the ongoing challenge of ad-

dressing globally important healthcare

questions. In Korea we will also have

the opportunity to encourage new con-

tributors from around Asia as well as

cement partnerships with organizations

that share Cochrane’s commitment to

evidence-based health care.

EBM (Evidence Based Medicine) is not a static set

of concepts, it is a young and evolving discipline.

In this year’s Cochrane Lecture, Paul Glasziou will

propose four areas requiring renewed or ongoing

attention

Four challenges for EBM and Cochrane’s future
