To find the best way to target people for our focus group I first looked into the way that the majority of people watch short films. By using online sources I found

these charts.

O From these charts I found the best way to find a focus group would be people with internet access and because they are on YouTube to watch these short films they probably subscribe to these channels. When we have created our

film we will be putting our film onto YouTube as this is the most common way for them to be seen.

O Because of the internet being the best way to watch short films, we will use the internet to target our focus group, the easiest way to do this would be

through social networks.

O I found the most recent research of the most popular social network, and in January of this year it was Facebook by 368 million people.

O I will be creating a focus group by sending out a group message trail consisting of ten people. 8 men and 2 women because men were the most likely to watch

short films and a range of ages from 16 to 50 years old and ethnicities as this corresponds to our target audience research. It is best for our focus group to be the same as our target audience so we are definitely appealing in the right

way to these people and the focus group will be able to give us guidance in any decision making we have to make our film appeal the best it can.
