• Indie kids are probably my main target audience for my magazine. Considering one of it’s key features is going to be new artists (as voted popular on the audience questionnaire) it will suit this focus group perfectly, with new and upcoming artists being one of their hobbies/interests.

• Indie scenesters (according to “find my tribe”) are much like indie kids, except they are much more involved in spotting the new talents. They have a passionate interest keeping up to date with new music and artists. Scenesters also pride themselves on being alternative, the two of these combined match my magazines themes brilliantly. By advertising my double page spread (an interview with a new artist) on the front cover, it will attract them well.

• “Trendies” are much like indie kids, in the sense that they enjoy keeping up to date with new music. They also have a strong interest in celebrities, and are known for idolising music icons. Therefore a personal interview with an artist would be a worthy way to target them, as opposed to a more professional styled one.

• From my audience questionnaires and the feedback from findyourtribe.com, I have decided that my main target audience is going to be 15 – 21 year old indie kids/ rockers.

• In order to target both of these I will need to include features from each of these equally and try and find an effective mix between the two.

• From my research I found the stereotypical indie kid fashion and music interests: • Skinny jeans• Big glasses• Big/ alternative hair• Alternative/ new music• Accessories• Alternative fashion/ clothing (often

vintage)

• And rockers had their interests too:• Electric guitars and other

heavy music instruments.• Black – including clothing &

skinny jeans and makeup for girls.

• Tattoos & piercings• Alternative hairstyles• Main colours were reds,

blacks and pinks.
