What Is eSign
Aadhaar eSign is a Govt. of India approved digital signing service that uses Aadhaar data of the Aadhaar holder to sign digital documents without using any other software.
The eSign service can be used by banks, stock brokers and other organizations to digitally collect signed documents that are required to provide services to their customers.
How eSign Works
An Aadhaar Holder uploads the document to be signed to the ASP and does Aadhaar authentication.
The service provider creates the hash of the document and calls the eSign service.
A digital certificate for the Aadhaar holder is created and is used to sign the documents
The signature is embedded into the document and signed document is created
