Final Submission For HIGHWALL LAKE PROJECT
William McNerney
District of Kenora. Dixie Lake Area (G1769) Red Lake Mining Division
ACCESS: Highway 105 South to Dixie Lake Road. South to Dixie Lake, then by boat. Or, continue South to Logging Road to South East of Claim Block.
CHANGES: Went to Beep Mat Survey in lieu of Magnetometer and VLF because of massive blow-down in the area survey Mas to be done.
Went to straight prospecting instead of overburden drilling because of blow-down.
GEOLOGY: Mostly metavolcanics from the very little outcrop that was found.
WORK DONE: Prospected North East group of claims and sampled what little outcrop there Mas.
Extensive Beep Mat Survey with no significant reading to pinpoint mineralization or shallow bedrock.
RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: No new significant outcrops Mere found as expected.
Beep Mat Mas not effective. The only hope left is for an extensive Diamond drill program of the known geophysical targets.

Geology - Claim 7143911 - West portion.See SketchBrecciated gabbro dikes several meters in width.MafK flows *. quarts veins - Discovered 5 m wide sulphidebearing ( pyrrhotite } chert zone - 3O-35 m exposed.Foleations in chert zone enclosing mafic flows trend MO/70degrees NMassive pads of pyrrhotite mineralization occour in the chest.
Work doneHand stripped zone for 30 m - drilled five shot holes and blasted - took 8 samples -(see attached sheet). Did Beep mat survey over zone (got very high readings 18,000 to 24,000) and adjacent area - strike. No high readings.
Results: Found massive sulphide zone with encouraging base metal. Results. Zone responnded very well to Beep mat. Sulphide zone is located at 8-10 channel airborne conductor locations.
Recommendations: Because of the effectiveness and high readings of the Beep mat over the sulphide zone - a complete Beep mat survey should be done over both claim blocks and through prospecting - locating and sampling of outcrop as the area seems very v/ell mineralized.

Kenora Mining District - Phillips TMP
ACCESS TO CLAIM 1149490: Down Kakagi Lake by boat. ACCESS TO CLAIM 1149491: By boat or Old Tote Road off of main
Vi; Kenora Highway 71.
IGES: Per phone approval from Gary Gorabowski on June 2, 1992 did Beep Mat Survey instead of Geochemical Soil Survey.
MORK: Beep Mat Survey over Claim 1149490 and the western part of Claim 1149491.
Established grid on Claim 1149490. Cleaned out 5 pits on two veins on Claim 1149490 and washed and stripped with Acme l High Pressure Mater Pump.
Prospected for new showings - found one, but no values.
GEOLOGY: Quartz veins in shears and gabbro intrusives - gold bearing - siliceous - serecite shiet.
RESULTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Gold bearing quartz veins were found in the old workings. Good values were obtained, but unable to establish any further. Strike length to northwest and runs into lake to southeast.
Could not get values out of wall rock as hoped.Recommend more prospecting and Geochemical Soil Survey
across lake on strike on Claim 1149491.

ACCESSSkinner Tow
nship was mapped m 197? by A P Pryslak and assis
tants (Pryslak 1972) The map rem
ained unpublished for a number
of years
as the
author m
oved on
to other
responsibilities P C Thurston and assistants conducted a reconnaissance of the belt in 1976 w
hich included Skinner Township
The Ontario G
eo logical Survey has received Pryslak's m
anuscript map. how
ever the area has not received a detailed treatm
ent of the economic
geology In order to m
ake the data available the present m
ap is published w
ithout economic geology details
The map area
is accessible by float-equipped aircraft from
Red Lake It is how
ever possible to proceed from the South Bay
Mine Road (w
hich comm
ences at Ear Falls) at the Little Bear Lake public
access point
to the
map
area This
entails a
journey w
ithout portages through the W
oman River and Bear Lake to the
northern part of Wom
an Lake of about 30km
A 150 m
portage connects W
oman Lake to Narrow Lake providing access to a large
paM of the area
Portages exist between N
arrow Lake and the
un-named lakes betw
een Narrow and Lark Lake and from M
arrow Lake to H

een Car Lake and Bathurst Lake
GENERAL G

The m

the western lim

hich passes through m

hich comprise the belt to the south m

The sequence consists of intermediate and felsic lapilli tuff tuff

based upon
lack of bedding
presence of eutaxitic textures and tuffaceous tops to units of constant clast type Above the volcanic rocks is a unit of chert and carbonate of uncertain thjckness w
hich marks the volcanic hiatus at the top of the cycle
An exposure at the carb symbol (UTM
grid location 18 612 000 N and
1 037 000 E) is a 1

The author suggests that this exposure correlates w
