Page 3: Final course reflection

What Did We Learn?

We learned The 5 C's that are essential to

writing professionally

Page 4: Final course reflection

How Did We Learn it?

During the Writing assignments WA3 and

WA4 students were asked to use the five

Cs and were graded using the five Cs as

a rubric.

Page 5: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

The five Cs are the foundation of business

writing and can be used throughout your

business career.

Page 6: Final course reflection

In what ways will you use this

learning?

I will most likely use this learning in a

professional setting when writing

documents that others will read. I will also

use these skills to communicate with

professors in the more near future.

Module 5: Designing

Documents, Slides, and

Screens

Page 8: Final course reflection

What did you learn?

In this section we learned how to make

documents, web pages, and

presentation slides.

Page 9: Final course reflection

How did we learn it?

We did AA3 and reviewed some of the

worst web pages on the internet. We used

the youtube video Website Designs and

Tricks.

Page 10: Final course reflection

Why does this learning matter?

This learning is significant because many

documents, web pages, and

presentations get disregarded because of

their design flaws. Learning how to create

fluid and well organized documents can

prevent people from disregarding your

message.

Page 11: Final course reflection

In what ways will you use this

learning?

I will use this learning when designing

anything that I need other people to read

in order to make my messages more

aesthetically pleasing.

Page 12: Final course reflection

Module 23: Short Reports

Page 13: Final course reflection

What did we learn?

We learned how to organize certain

reports and what information to include in

comparison, problem-solution, elimination

of alternatives, and general to particular

strategies.

Page 14: Final course reflection

How did you learn it?

This section had a powerpoint lesson and

was on the Unit three test.

Page 15: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

This learning will help you make reports

and will help you find an effective

strategy that can get your message

across in the best fashion.

Page 16: Final course reflection

Where will you use this

information?

I will use this information to present

arguments and information to an

audience in an effective and firm

manner.

Page 17: Final course reflection

Module 22: Finding,

Analyzing, and

Documenting Information

Page 18: Final course reflection

What did we learn?

In Module 22 we learned about online

reliable databases, how to conduct

surveys, and documenting sources.

Page 19: Final course reflection

How did we learn it?

There was a PowerPoint presentation on

Module 22 and we were tested on it in

Unit Test 3.

Page 20: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

This learning is important when taking

surveys, finding reliable sources and also

documenting sources.

Page 21: Final course reflection

In what ways will you use this

learning?

I will use this information whenever my

future classes require a survey be taken.

The guidelines available portray a very

good design on how a survey should be

taken.

Page 22: Final course reflection

Module 12: Persuasive

Messages

Page 23: Final course reflection

What did we learn?

We learned about different persuasive

patterns, subject lines, direct requests,

and problem solving style persuasive

requests.

Page 24: Final course reflection

How did we learn it?

We used some of the persuasive skills

learned in this chapter while writing WA3

where students requested that the One

Campus One Book committee pick their

particular recommendations.

Page 25: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

Persuasiveness can be very important to

getting your point across and to

explaining to people why your solution is

best.

Page 26: Final course reflection

How will you use this learning?

I will use this whenever I need to write a

persuasive essay or in the workplace

when writing my boss a proposal.

Page 27: Final course reflection

Module 21: Proposals and

Progress Reports

Page 28: Final course reflection

What did we learn?

Module 21 was about how to write

proposals and progress reports. In this

section we learned how to format, what

to include, and a few varieties of progress

reports and proposals.

Page 29: Final course reflection

How did we learn it?

Chapter 21 was learned via online

PowerPoint.

Page 30: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

Knowing how to write proposals and

reports will allow you to provide

information to people regarding solutions

to problems, and plan making.

Page 31: Final course reflection

How will you use this?

I will need to write reports and proposals

in my future job and I could use this

information to effectively draft them.

Social Media Supplementary

Materials: Week 11 Lesson

Folder

Page 33: Final course reflection

What did you learn?

In week 11 we learned about social

media’s grip on the world and how to

appropriately use social media.

Page 34: Final course reflection

How did you learn it?

There were several readings on social

media. Also students were required to

submit AA4 where companies had social

media disasters and students were to

analyze these debacles.

Page 35: Final course reflection

Why is this learning important?

Social media is very important to the

image of a company or an individual.

What is put on the profile can be very

good or very bad as shown in Analysis

Assignment 4.

Page 36: Final course reflection

How will you use this learning?

I will use this information whenever I’m

using any of my social media networks

and have even turned my Twitter

account private since reading these

articles.
