    Concept

Made Our Mark is about the students on the Graphic Design course creating a legacy with their work, making their mark on the history of the course. This works the opposite way also, by encouraging the reader to make their mark on the book by applying stickers to their favourite pages and bookmarking pages of interest.

    Target Audience

Prospective students and professionals coming to see the End of Year show.

    Brief

Create a proposal for the design of the Graphic Design yearbook 2015.

    Made Our Mark.

    Research

We looked into other book layouts and features that could inspire our concept to make the Yearbook engaging for the audience. We found the golden bookmarks particularly useful to represent our idea that the user could mark their favourite pages.

  • Personalisation and Colour 3/3Brief 8: Yearbook Pitch

    Personalisation

We worked separately to come up with ideas and then brought them all together. In order to create personalisation within the book, we proposed that there would be tear off bookmarks or a ribbon so that readers can bookmark their favourite parts. They would also be able to apply stickers provided at the front of the book anywhere they want in the book to further make their mark on it.

    Colour

We decided on gold as the feature colour throughout the book to reinforce the idea of achievement and success, as the colour has these associations.
