Small and medium size cogeneration unitsturnkey projects

ROMVEC INDUSTRIE strives constantly to design responsiblesolutions for customers energy

needs. Among these solutions theco generation units with gasturbines turnkey projects are themost suitable for many customers.

Cogeneration consists of producing simultaneously useful heatand electric energy from one single unit. Cogeneration can beby means of a steam turbine/a gas turbine/a gas engineconnected to the electrical generator.

A unit CHP contains:- a gas turbine/an engine/steam turbine;- accessories of recovering the thermal energy;- control and command panels assisted by computer;- a protection system against noise.

Our turnkey projects are then able to change heat into coolingand nothing stands in the way of cogeneration units working tothe full even through summer.The produced cooling can be used everywhere where air-conditioning is needed - in banks, hotels, business andadministration centers, hospitals, sports halls etc.Air-conditioning equipment can be of two types:- compressor (an electric motor runs the compressor)- absorptive (run on steam, gas, heat from hot water)

The advantage of absorptive cooling (apart from the abovementioned possible connection with the cogeneration unit)compared with compressor cooling is that it needs lower

quality and even cheaper input heating energy than the moreexpensive input electric energy for compressor cooling.Absorptive cooling is also quiet, simple and reliable. Thedisadvantages are mainly the higher investment costscompared with compressor cooling, and bigger dimensions and

weight.

Small and medium size cogeneration units turnkey projects

The basic principal of the absorptive circuit is the replacement ofcompression by heat procession in which the cooler absorbs asuitable material (absorbent) at low pressure, then transfers toanother exchanger working at higher pressure where the cooler by

the input of heat into the liquid is released (expelled) again. Theresult is a cooler with higher pressure which resemblescondensation. What happens in the condenser and evaporator issimilar to a steam circuit.
