Name: Nguyễn Mạnh Linh Class: QH2014.F1.E15 FILM REVIEW BLENDED Blended, directed by Frank Coraci, is a fascinating romcom about family theme. The film tells the story of the two families, which have two single parents looking a mom/dad for their children: Jim Friedman (starred by Adam Sandler) is a sporting goods store manager and the dad of three girls, who he dresses and treats like boys, and Lauren Reynolds (Brew Barrymore) is a fanatically organized closet organizer and the mom of two defiant boys. The story begins with Jim’s and Lauren’s blind date that turns beyond disastrous with no chance of a followup. Both of them agree on only one thing that they never want to see each other again. However, unbeknownst to one another, by purchasing separate halves of the cancelled family vacation from their friend – a luxurious trip to a fancy African safari resort, the two families end up on the same “familymoon”. With no choice but to spend time as a family, they attempt to make the best of their situation. This movie is one of the best Adam Sandler’s films. Though the story is quite formulaic revolving around Jim teaching Lauren’s boys to man up and Lauren helping Jim’s girls to embrace their feminity, it delivers a non-stop series of laughs along with a sensitive handling of love and awkward issues. Consequently, it’s not only performed in a humorous way but also in some emotionally touching moments. All in all, fans of Adam Sandler and comedy will no doubt be thrilled with this. To other audiences, this film is well

FILM REVIEWBLENDED

Blended, directed by Frank Coraci, is a fascinating romcom about family theme.

To other audiences, this film is well worth seeing, since it will make you cry for laugh and touch your heart as well. Don’t miss it!
