CastI have included the leading
cast at the top: Hana Thain
and Sam Mallock. It is
conventional to find the names
of stars included on a film
poster. Although Hana and
Sam are unknown actors,
within the trailer we have
presented them as upcoming.
Focal Imagewill be using a screenshot from
existing footage as the focal
image. This captures a kiss
shared between the two
protagonists. I feel that this
screenshot clearly presents the
‘coming of age’ genre and the
theme of romance; the two
teenagers are lost in love -
perhaps first love. The
surrounding setting of the
reservoir shows adventure in
the relationship; this
spontaneous spirit would be
expected from two young
lovers. I really like the colours
within this screenshot; the
setting sun casts shades of
blue, pink and orange over the
two characters.
Billing Block I will conform to poster
conventions by including a billing
block at the bottom of my poster
- I will search for a ‘steel tongs’
font.
Title I will be placing the title of our
trailer at the bottom of the film
poster. This will be written in
the ‘dolce vita’ font that we
used
within our inter-titles.
QuoteAs I intend to keep the
poster quite minimalist in
design, I will be including
one quote to show received
critical acclaim; this is a
‘supposed’ quote from the
Guardian’s Film Critic Peter
Bradshaw. I considered
including Laurel Leaf
Awards, however, I am
unsure on how this would
look beside my focal image.
Colours to be
included…
