ALPS Releases New High Density Gel OptionThe High Density (HD) Gel is ALPS` newest gel product line. The HD Gel is ideal for patients transitioning from silicone into gel liners. KNIT RITE IMPROVES SMARTKNIT® SOCK PACKAGING Effective immediately, Knit Rite SmartKnit AFO, KAFO, and SMO Socks will now be sold in a new flexible packaging. This new packaging requires less space for storage, is resalable, and features a hang hole for stocking ease. Customers will benefit from a sleeker, cleaner look that is more manageable to pack, ship, and sell.

Fillauer Reduces Price of Absolute SleeveFillauer has reduced the price of the Absolute Pre-Flexed Suspension Sleeves to better accommodate the needs of the customer. The Origin of Limb Loss Awareness Month The Amputee Coalition first established Limb Loss Awareness Month in 2012, with the intent to celebrate people with limb loss and spread awareness about the issues affecting the community. This day was appointed by securing gubernatorial proclamations and receiving a presidential letter of recognition formerly recognizing April as Limb Loss Awareness Month. Limb Loss Awareness Month has taken several forms over the years to raise awareness about everything from limb loss prevention to advocating individual empowerment, recognition of resilience, and acceptance.

This provides individuals with limb loss an opportunity to show their “mettle” and their “metal” at the same time. Individuals who are comfortable are encouraged to share pictures of themselves showing their “mettle/metal” on our social media pages throughout the month of April with #ShowYourMettle, #NotALuxury, and #LimbLossAwarenessMonth.

CHANGES TO THE CASCADE TEAM

The recent acquisition of OrtoPed has further solidified Cascade’s reputation as the largest independent O&P distributor in North America. With this expansion, there are growing demands from customers and supplier partners. In an effort to provide a true partnership to customers and strategically align the company, Cascade has restructured the various departments to operate efficiently. Bruce Langston has been promoted to the CFO of the organization and Director positions have been established for all functional areas of the company. Notably, Connie Withers is the National Sales Manager and Kristen Pierson is the Marketing Manager.
