Example Stories

Each story uses the same story structure:Beginning = One day…Middle = Suddenly…End = Luckily…

One day slimy old snail woke up, and decided to eat a tasty green leaf. Suddenly, as he tried to move, he found he was stuck in brown oozy mud. Luckily Superworm stretched out his tail and snail was able to pull himself free. Superworm the tow rope!

One day ant was crawling up a very tall bush to reach a delicious red berry. Suddenly he realized how high he was, and froze with fear. Luckily Superworm climbed the tall bush and made himself into a slide for ant. Superworm the slide!

One day beetle was quietly sitting on a pale green leaf all by himself. Suddenly crow swooped down, opened his big mouth and tried to eat him. Luckily Superworm scared crow away by hitting him on the beak with his tail. Superworm the whip!

One day bee was flying through the forest looking for sweet nectar to drink. Suddenly he flew into a sticky spider’s web and was caught. Luckily Superworm used his strong, sharp teeth to chew through the web and bee escaped. Superworm the lifesaver!

One day small green grasshopper jumped up onto a delicate, brown log. Suddenly he slipped and fell towards the hard ground. Luckily Superworm saw him falling and stretched out between two sticks so grasshopper was able to bounce on his tummy. Superworm the trampoline!
