and these students will be entitled to pursue Master of science (MSc) degree in Implantology in University of Genova , Italy

Duration: 1 Year Part Time Program (5 Modules of 3 Day Each)Eligibility: Minimum qualification of B.D.S. or equivalent from a recognised

institution in India or overseas. Selection by interview only

• Basic Science( Applied anatomy, bone physiology, healing sterilization, local anaesthesia)

• Diagnosis and treatment planning• Volumetric classification of available bone for implantology• Radiography and interpretation of radiographs and CT scan• Hands on Implant Placement on dummy mandibles.• Live surgical demonstration on patient by mentor.

• Bone: Overview of basic principles of physiology and metabolism, bone modeling and remodeling

• Periosteum: Overview of Basic Principles• Patients screening: Medical evaluation of patients. Absolute

and relative contraindications.• Introduction to prosthetic components.• Biomaterials and biocompatibility in implant and reconstructive surgery.• Anatomic landmarks necessary for the success of implant and

reconstructive surgery.• Goat/cadaver dissection• Surgical cases 5 implants to be placed by participants

under supervision of mentors.

• Soft tissue management and treatment in aesthetic zone basic bone grafting and guided bone regeneration

• Hands on Implant Prosthetics• Laboratory procedures and complications• Review of surgical cases and prosthetic rehabilitation

• Basic Principles of occlusion, impression techniques and laboratory protocols• Selection of abudments screw and cement retained prostheses• Bone expansion compaction technique• Management of complications• Overview of advanced implant techniques• Fellowship Exam

• Bone grafts, grafts procedure and guided tissue regeneration techniques.

• Classification of membranes, surgical procedures, precautions, advantages and disadvantages.

• Overview of maxillary sinus cavity• Prosthetic rehabilitation

• Single tooth and multiple teeth replacement

• Impression techniques• Temporization• Occlusion• Re-evaluation of surgical cases• Demo on overdenture prosthetics
