Shannon St. John Fellowship 2012 Triangle Community Foundation is seeking a Fellow to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from May to August 2012. The Shannon St. John Fellowship will provide valuable experience for a student with a demonstrated interest in the public sector in North Carolina. This year the Fellow will work closely with the philanthropic services team to support donor engagement and community programs. The Fellow will benefit from the staff’s extensive knowledge of community needs, donor services, and local nonprofit organizations. Duties include assisting with research, community grants, data entry, online and print materials, and general office support. The Fellow will have the opportunity to present project results in written or oral reports and will be encouraged to participate in meetings, events, and other activities throughout the summer. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Eligibility Eligible applicants are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program. Preference will be given to candidates studying public administration, public policy, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field and to candidates with 13 years of experience working in the public sector as an employee or board member. The Fellowship will require a commitment of 40 hours per week during business hours for 10 weeks between May 2012 and August 2012, and the total stipend will be $5,000.
