History of the airplane
The Cessna 208 Caravan was conceived in 1980/1981 as the first turboprop-powered general aviation aircraft. The Cessna Caravan has proven itself to be one of the most reliable, versatile, and cost-effective airplanes ever built. As an airliner, the Caravan connects smaller communities to major cities throughout the world. Its economy, reliability, simple maintenance, and resilience make it invaluable to growing businesses.Every month, more than 1500 Caravans log more than 71,000 hours – that's more than half a billion miles since the Caravan first took off. Most of those were logged flying freight, bringing commerce to the far corners of the world.
