Feedback on Final Trailer from Media

StudentsDiana Daniela Simon

Page 2: Feedback from media students

• I wanted a different view on my trailer from individuals who actually had some sort of knowledge about media products. Asking them for feedback will be extremely helpful as it will help me make the last few adjustments to my trailer. Hopefully by making the adjustments that I have been told it will improve my product immensely.

“Add dramatic sound when the blonde character sees the bruise the first time”

“Try to make the beginning much fast by cutting some scenes out as it is taking too long to tel the story”

“Add whispers when the character finds blood and scratches on legs and arms”

“Although you have created your own production company logo, add a established one”

“Instead of having the full article cross over with the door opening include an image of the young twins looking innocent - this created a contrast”

“Cut the scene down of them eating pizza, no need to make it so long could just show them revealing their bruises”

“You could possibly use a voiceover of them saying ‘I can’t believe we got our own perfect house’- this will help speed up the part of the story being

established”

“Could have a title card about them moving into the house or a voiceover to say they are moving into a new house”

“Swap over the ‘In Cinemas’ and the actual title of the film trailer”

“Add more scary shots of blood and screaming to speed up the pace of the trailer”

Discussion• The feedback has been VERY helpful as it made

me realise the things which I don’t have in my trailer which limits the quality of my trailer. By making the previous adjustments I know my trailer will be able to be much more scary and follow the conventions of other horror trailers.

• I am going to consider all of the improvements which I have been given from my audience and the media students however I am only going to change the most important feedback (i.e. the pacing of the trailer)
