1. Did your student fit in well during their time here?

Ben is quite a reserved person, but he joined the team for lunch, and interacted well with colleagues when required.

2. Were they punctual?Yes

3. Were they presented well?Yes

4. What were their strengths?Ben worked well with the software, and was able to work using his own initiative. He asked good questions about the tasks, and produced good quality software.

5. Were there any areas for development?In the two weeks I didn’t really have a chance to identify any weak areas.

6. Did they show a keen interest to learn and participate during their time here?Yes. Ben worked was very keen to learn the new QML technology that’s used in Domino for producing the user interface. He independently used the wiki pages to find out how to complete the task.

7. Describe/ outline some of the key tasks that they were givenBen was asked to construct some prototype screens to demonstrate how the printer user interface might look in future Domino printers. This required learning some new software techniques and also doing a small amount of research about how Overall Equipment Effectiveness is calculated.

8. Any other comments or feedback?I was very happy with the work that Ben did. In fact, he was capable of more detailed and complex tasks than those he was given during the 2 weeks.
