Panreac has the analytical reagents with sufficient purity to perform the following determinations, pursuant to the provisions of the regulation:

Composition of materials for feed and compound feed

Level of additives authorised

Control of undesirable substances

Determination of constituents of animal origin

Control of the illegal presence of unauthorised additives

The control of products destined for use as animal feed is of great importance, because feed production is directly linked to the quality of meat products, milk and dairy products, and consequently to human health. Commission Regulation (EC) No 152/2009, of 27 January 2009, lays down the methods of sampling and analysis for the official control of feed.

Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Clostridium sp. In the absence of specific regulations for microbiological tests for feed, the same methods used for the food industry can be applied.

The Panreac CULTIMED culture media allows these determinations to be made.

In addition to chemical analyses, microbiological tests are also recommended.

The Panel of Biological Hazards (BIOHAZ) prepared a report that identified Salmonella spp. as the primary risk of microbial contamination in feed for food producing animals. Other risks of lesser importance are
