Federal Reserve Holiday Schedule 2016 The list below reflects the holiday schedule for the Federal Reserve. When the Federal Reserve is closed, Central Bank will be unable to process Wires or ACH files, even when the Bank is open for that holiday. In order to ensure a Wire or ACH file is processed the next business day after a Federal Reserve holiday, the submission will need to take place by 5pm on the preceding regular business day before that holiday. New Year’s Day – Friday, January 1 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday – Monday, January 18 Washington’s Birthday – Monday, February 15 Memorial Day –Monday, May 30 Independence Day –Monday, July 4 Labor Day – Monday, September 5 Columbus Day – Monday, October 10* Veteran’s Day – Friday, November 11 Thanksgiving Day –Thursday, November 24 Christmas Day – Friday December 26 *Dates in red denote days when the Federal Reserve is closed, but Central Bank is open.
