If your financial aid awards have not already disbursed by the tuition due date, you are required to:

Provide a current mailing address and an email address that you check regularly.Review your answers before you submit the FAFSA.To be eligible for federal financial aid, you must be a degree seeking student at the institution you apply to.Applying for federal financial aid is a process. It can take up to two weeks for the College of Southern Idaho to receive your FAFSA from the Department of Education.

The process
1. Complete and submit your FAFSA online

2. Notification from CSI will follow
3. Submit requested information and/or documents
4. Receive your award notification
5. Accept and/or decline your awards
6. If you accept loans, complete the additional loan documents-Entrance Counseling-Master Promissory Note (MPN)

Loan Tips
If you accept a loan, you must complete an Entrance Counseling session and a Master Promissory Note. Available on Net Partner and the CSI Financial Aid website.If you are a first time student and a first time borrower, you will have a one-time 30 day delay on your loan money. If you are attending only one semester of an academic year, your loan money will be split into two disbursements during that semester.

Disbursements
The first disbursement of Federal financial aid and scholarships will be on the second Thursday of the semester. Attendance must be verified by instructors before any awards can disburse.
Financial aid awards will be made based on the number of credits students are enrolled in at 8:00 A.M. on Monday of the second week of classes. If students who receive Federal financial aid increase the number of credits they are enrolled in after 8:00 A.M. on the second Monday, they will be responsible for all tuition and fees for those classes, (they will not be awarded additional aid for the semester).
Once attendance has been verified, awards will be applied to your student account to pay your tuition and any book charges.

Refunds
• If you have funds above what is owed to the college, this goes to you as a refund.
• Refunds are sent to HigherOne on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• College of Southern Idaho utilizes HigherOne for all financial aid and scholarship credit balance/refund distribution.
• The amount of time it takes to receive a refund varies on the method you selected.
An EagleOne Card will be mailed to every degree-seeking student who enrolled in at least one credit course at CSI. Cards go out just before the semester begins.

DO NOT throw your card away! (a replacement card can cost you up to $20) - you will need the card to select your refund preferences; you may also need your card at a later date.
As soon as you receive the card you need to log in to CSIEagleOneCard.com to select a refund preference:
1. Open a OneAccount and start using your EagleOne Card
2. Have your refund deposited/transferred to your current bank account (ACH)
3. Have a paper check mailed to you (to the mailing address we have on file in MyCSI - please make sure that your mailing address is correct).
