F r o m t h e H e a d T e a c h e r s February is filled with many exciting events; we can’t wait to see if the Groundhog
sees his shadow on the 2nd. In addition to all of the Valentine’s Day parties, we will
celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month; however the date the Dentist will
visit the Center is to be determined. We will end February with a Pajama Day on Fri-
day, the 27th in honor of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday. Also, students from the Nehaunsey
Middle school will visit on the 27th to celebrate Read Across America Day. The
children really enjoy these special visitors each year!
We wish Ms. Katelyn the best of luck as she goes out on Maternity leave this month.
We can’t wait to meet her beautiful baby girl!
The cold wintry weather sure seems to be hanging around. In the event of severe in-
clement weather, please remember to tune into 6abc Action News or log onto
www.6abc.com and watch for our name to appear if we are closed.
We hope everyone has a fantastic February & a very Happy Valentine’s Day!
Miss Jen & Miss Cassie
It is hard to believe that we are just about half way through the school year. 2015 has started off
quickly, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. The children always have fun making Valen-
tines and celebrating with their friends during their classroom parties. Dental Health Month is
amongst us once again. The Department of Health will be here on Wednesday, February 4th to audit
our medical files. Picture Day is upon us again! Teddy Bear Portraits will be here on Wednesday,
February 11th to photograph the children. Please keep an eye out for more information to be sent home in
your child’s cubby. If your child doesn't normally attend on Wednesdays; you are more than welcome
to bring your child in to be photographed. The photographer starts around 8:00am and is usually here
until approximately 10:30am.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Sincerely,
Kelly Shields
February brings feelings of cold weather, hot chocolate, and of course love. You cannot help but feel the
love in the infant room. We realize the important role that we play when you entrust the care of your baby
to us.
This month we’ll be celebrating Chase’s 1st birthday on February 12th. Happy Birthday to our big boy!
We will be saying good bye to our sweet baby Jax, who is moving out of NJ. We will all surely miss him, it has been
our delight to have been a part of his early childhood years.
“Let’s Talk Teeth” is one of our themes this month. Sometimes getting new teeth can be uncomfortable for
the babies, but how exciting it is when they pop through! We’ll be looking at the heart shape and reading “Elmo’s
Valentine,” “Counting Kisses,” and “Love Bug.” Another fun book we’ll read in honor of Dr. Seuss is “The Ear
Book.” The babies love turning the pages and having that one on one time.
Have a nice Valentine’s Day with the ones you love and fun introducing your baby to SNOW!
Love,
Ms. Cathy, Ms. Carolyn, Ms. Helen & Ms. Regina
It's hard to believe January has already come to an end. We've noticed many changes In the children over the
past few months. The main change is the number of children Using the potty. More than half the class is now
potty trained! Hooray! The children still have accidents, so please be sure to have extra changes of clothes in
your child's cubby. Valentine's Day is Saturday the 14th so we will be having our valentines celebration on Friday the
13th. Our last Pajama Day was such a success that we've decided to schedule One for Valentine's Day. Everyone please
wear your favorite pajamas. A sign up sheet will be posted by the door for anyone who would like to contribute goodies or
paper products. We will also send home a list of classmates for anyone that would like to exchange Valentine's.
We will also be discussing dental health this month and even have a visit from a real Dentist! We also have a couple of
birthdays to celebrate this month. Happy third birthday to Josh on the 7th and Aubrey on the 19th!
As always please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
love,
Ms. Michele, Ms. Kim, Ms. Marie, Ms. Jess and Ms. Courtney

Love is in the air! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! The month of January already went by so fast.
Hopefully February will give us better weather so we can go outside. We will be having our Valentine’s
day party on February 13th, there will be signup sheet outside of the classroom.
The themes for this month are: Let’s talk teeth, Happy Valentine’s Day, Digging up Dino’s, and The Cat in
The Hat. We will have a lot of fun this month.
We welcomed a new child to our classroom in January, his name is Owen and we are enjoying getting to know
him. Bane will be turning two on February 26th. Happy birthday Bane!
As always, please check your child’s cubby for supplies they may need. Also call the center at any time if you
have any questions.

February...One of my favorite months, mainly because it’s short, but also because it starts with Ground Hogs
Day! My little friend will tell us that spring is just around the corner...or not. So far, winter has been good to
us. Let’s hope it continues , then just fades away.
Meanwhile, we’ll keep working on our pre-kindergarten skills. During this month we’ll take a look at dental
health, valentines, presidents, dinosaurs, and work on our rhyming skills as we celebrate Dr. Seuss at the end of the
month. Perhaps we’ll end with a pajama party and have green eggs and ham. One party we will have for sure is a Val-
entine's party on Thursday, Feb. 12th. Please bring in an empty cereal box so we can decorate it and collect Valentine’s.
There will be a sign-up sheet posted in the classroom for you to make a choice to help with the party. I’ll provide a list of
classmates to help you help your child fill out the cards.
Everyone appears to be progressing well, with no major pitfalls. As always, if you have any questions or con-
cerns, please don’t hesitate to approach one of us.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Ms. Carolyn, Ms. Jackie, Ms. Maryanne & Ms. Julianna
We hope everyone had a great start to their new year. February has some fun themes that I know the kids will
enjoy. Who doesn't love dinosaurs and The Cat in the Hat? We will have visitors from Nehaunsey Middle
School coming to read to the children on Friday the 27th. The kids love seeing big kids come in to hang out!
We will have a Valentine’s Day party with waffles and ice cream on Friday, the 13th. There will be a sign up sheet
posted in the classroom above the cubbies soon. Don’t feel bad if you don’t get a chance to sign up, we have something
next month as well! We also have a Valentine exchange so I will provide a class list for each child to take home.
Let’s not forget to say Happy Birthday to our Matt Matt, who will be four years old on the 12th. Happy Birthday big
boy! The kids love to tell how old they are and invite each other to their birthday parties. Four is a BIG deal!
We hope everyone has a great February. Dont forget to check cubbies for extra clothes.
Thank You,
Ms. Camille, Ms. Ceshia, Ms. Catie & Ms. Jeannette
During the month of February we usually do not get much time outside to run around and to be physical. I thought I
would get a little creative with our indoor physical activity and have the children do a challenge. Each week I will give
them a different exercise to do. It’s a fun way to get them moving as we promote good health habits early on in life.
We will have a little Valentine’s day celebration on Friday, the 13th. Please look for a sign-up sheet
outside our classroom. We are almost at the end of our alphabet. As soon as we finish, we will start all over and
use our weekly Show-N-Tell time to reinforce each letter that we review. Thursday and Fridays are our Show-N-
Tell days. This will ensure each child in the class gets a turn. Please look for more information once we are
ready to begin.
Enjoy your February and stay warm and safe during these cold wintry months!
Ms. Jackie, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Kristin & Ms. Chelsea
Welcome to February! We have a lot to celebrate with Black History Month, our 100th
day of school, and Valentine’s Day. As we celebrate we will continue to work on friendships and good man-
ners. We’ll also be cutting out plenty of hearts, all different sizes and colors!
We would like to invite our parents and/or grandparents for our Valentine’s party on Thursday, Feb. 12th at
10:00. If you would like your child to exchange Valentine cards, please have your child sign the cards, but no names
on the envelopes. We have 9 children total, and will post a sign-up sheet soon.
Stay warm!
Love,
Ms. Kelly, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Jill & Ms. Jackie

In February, The Busy Bees will learn through these themes: Let’s talk teeth, Happy Valentine’s Day, Dig-
ging up Dino’s, and The Cat in The Hat. The letters will be Ww-Zz, and we will continue having the letter of
the week Show and Tell on Thursdays. Also, we will continue writing our first and last name, address,
phone numbers, shapes, the letter of the week, and by the end of the month we will begin writing sight words.
Mr. Marc and I have many fun activities planned for our math, science, writing, phonemic awareness/alphabet, art,
and reading centers to keep everyone busy as bees!
Since everyone attends school on Thursdays, we will have our Valentine’s Day party on February 12th for everyone to
enjoy. A signup sheet is posted beside our classroom door. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to
contact me. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Love,
Ms. Jenn, Mr. Marc, and Ms. Jeanine

The cold weather is here! Hopefully we won’t get too much snow this month and the groundhog predicts an
early spring. We want to get outside and play!
This month we will be having a Valentine’s Day party on Friday the 13th (let’s hope for no bad luck!) I have
a signup sheet posted, thank you to those who have already signed up. Also, I sent home a list of names; if you need
another copy please let me know. We always have so many goodies at our parties so I am asking that you bring in
only what is on our list, besides valentines and goodie bags. Thank you!
We will also be celebrating Zane’s birthday on the 10th. Happy birthday Zane!
Please check your child’s cubby for 2 changes of clothes and remember to bring sheets and blankets home on Fridays
to be washed and returned. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Love, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Shannon & Ms. Gertie
