February Issue

Welcome from Rachael

As I am sure you have all noticed, there has been a few new additions to the riding school this month, Reuben, who could quite easily be mistaken for Frankie, and Baron, who some of you may remem-ber from Broadview stables from a long time ago.

Our own a pony day was a great success this half-term holiday, with many new faces attending along with

lots of familiar ones.

Some of our liveries Charlotte Watson & Bro-gan Haddon were lucky

enough to go out with the South Notts Hunt this month , and had a great

time.

Our Billy Sansom had great

results last month at the Trail Blazers Show, with Branston getting two 1st and a 2nd.

I hope like me, you’ve seen the snowdrops starting to appear throughout the woods, which makes me think that spring is well on the way, and the lighter nights will soon be here.

How did you get into horses?

My mum used to have lessons at Wood-side many years ago, and suggested that I gave it a try. I absolutely loved it, and used to ride a little pony called Yogi Bear.

Favourite horse of all time? This one is easy, it has to be Harvey

Favourite Artist? That would have to be Katy Perry

Favourite Film of all time ? That would

be Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.

Favourite Drink? I love Irn Bru on a hot day, when i am teaching, but a nice glass of Rose Wine if i am going out.

Favourite Food? I love strawberrys the most, but any kind of fruit really, and Birds cakes for a treat.

Favourite part of the job? I love teaching the little ones or the beginners. Some of them are quite nervous when they arrive, but with the right pony and some encour-agement they are soon having a great time.

Woodside riders to place their advert,

way for you to save or make a bit of

money, as well as help you to get rid of

items you have outgrown. Just email in a

picture of what you want to sell, with your

advert, and we will upload to the website.
