2. Cookie Credit 411 If you sell at least 30 boxes of cookies during the 2011 Spring Cookie Sale, thenyoull have Cookie Credits to spend! Cookie Credits will be applied to family accounts April 1, 2011, and can be used for council events, Summer Camp, andpurchases in the council shop. Here are five ways to say Thanks-a-Lot, but were sure you can think of many more! Write them a thank-you note. Its a simple thing to do, but means so much. Story Submitted by Korinne Armour of Lenexa to the Topeka Capital Journal The sun was setting over the Pumpkin Patch in Gardner the evening of Oct. 29 when out of a long black Suburban jumped a group of peppy girls. "Did you lose something?" one asked me. I told them that earlier in the day, Id lost my wedding ring in the field. They immediately got close to the ground and began fingering through the grass, looking for it. I was distraught. It was cold and the sky was growing dark. Food Drive For a Cause Liberal Girl Scout Junior Troop 60005 and Brownie troop 60075 Hays and Garden City Regions joined together to host a food drive at the beginning of the holiday season with all donations going to the Community Baptist Church food bank. Participation up at 2nd Annual Thin Mint Sprint Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland hosted the 2nd Annual Thin Mint Sprint 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 in Hays, KS. This year Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland partnered with Hays Recreation Commission (HRC) making the Thin Mint Sprint the third race in the HRCs four-5K race series. Then in more pints than an average Blood Drive for the American Redafter hearing about the Thin Mint Sprint, my goal changed to Cross in Hays! 24 girls recruited at least one donor and nine haveparticipate in one major race in 2010. Having never participated earned the Red Cross Camouflage Cap for recruiting three or morein a 5K I felt there was a lot of excitement and peer support, which donors. Beloit Girls Give to Project LinusBrownie Troop #20650 from Beloit, Kansas recently completed several blankets for the Project Linus chapter in Salina RegionHays, KS. For the past 4 years this troop has been making blankets and completing this project. The girls cant waitto get started each year, said Troop Leader Terry Clingman.The blankets are given to children who are ill. Project Linus mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth andcomfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blanketsand afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers.
