Meet at Golden Corral on Chimney Rock Rd. A room is reserved for our group, but you are responsible for purchasing your meal. The breakfast buffet is $9.99/adult; $6.99/ages 9-12yrs; $4.99/ages 4-8yrs; and children under 3 are free. All breakfast buffets include a drink. After the breakfast and devo, we plan to cut and split wood at Glenn Elliott’s (weather permitting). Bring your tools and safety gear. See Jeremy Cochran for more info.
All those interested in attending the wood cutting and splitting, please
meet with Jeremy in the front of the auditorium after AM worship TODAY.
This week, our trainees will continue with the topic of “Distinctively Christian
Caring”. A caring ministry needs useful tools to help care receivers. We will
continue to look at effective ways of using resources such as prayer, Scripture,
and “a cup of cold water”. If you get a chance, let them know you are praying
for them. -Karen Fitzpatrick

Dear (your name here), I love you. Love, God. The Sunday morning Ladies Bible class will start back on February 2 and will be based on the book, 66 Love Letters-an intimate conversation with God, by Dr. Larry Crabb. It offers the chance to completely change the way you think about love. No books will be provided, however it is available for purchase on Amazon and other sites. Handouts will provided for class sessions. –Debbi Ware
We rejoice with the Leatherwood family at the birth of Hezekiah Paul John Mark Leatherwood
on January 21st . He weighed 8lb 20oz and was 22in long. Mom, baby, and family are doing well, but need rest. Please limit calls and texts. If you would like to help with meals, contact Lora’s mom directly. The office has her phone number.

Greeting Others One common compliment that our church receives is “Everyone is so friendly! We felt welcome here!” Welcom-ing and greeting others happens the entire time we are gathered together. This is part of our over-all congregational character. Always make the extra effort to intro-duce yourself to others, especially to those you don’t know (or remember), yet. On Sundays, this takes place before classes, during classes, in the foyer between classes and worship, in the auditorium as we gather for worship, after worship and, again, in the foyer, but it all starts at the front door! This is an informal organic out-pouring of who we are as Christians. It’s just who we are. I would like to specifically acknowledge and thank Nan and Paul Learned for opening the front doors for all coming to worship with us and welcoming them in the foyer every time they are here! Anyone, teenagers included, can be part of this first impact at the front door and in the foyer. Come join us! -Evan McGee

Path Finders Ministry Our first outing for Path Finders 2020 will be February 13th. We plan to meet at the building at 10:45AM and carpool to Side Street Pizza. We will then meet Kathryn McHahon, Director of Communication Engagements, at the Equestrian Center for a short tour and talk about what’s happening for their 2020 year. Hope you can make it! We had some great ideas at our first meeting and hope we get to do them all. —Tribbys
Path Finders meets throughout the year for service projects and social activities. Due to the timing of some of the events, many of the participants are retired. However, the ministry is open to all that are able to attend. Contact Brian and Darlene Tribby for more details about how you can be involved!
