Second Sunday in Lent

Senior Pastor Call Update - The South Wisconsin District has provided the Senior Pastor Call Committee with information on 22 potential candidates that the Committee will be considering for a call to Grace as our Senior Pastor. Please keep the Call Committee in your prayers as they begin to review all the information.

There will be an election held during the services the this weekend for one position open on the Grace Lutheran Church and School Board of Directors. The slate of candidates running for that position is below and candidate bio’s are available at the voting tables.

Concerning the Lord’s Supper We celebrate the Lord’s Supper with the firm belief that this sacred meal is a gift of Christ to His Church. The Apostle Paul encourages us to examine ourselves before we “eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves” (1 Corinthians 11:28-29).

We request that those who wish to commune here:

Are baptized Christians

Realize they are a sinner and in need of God’s grace and forgiveness. Believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior and, by participating in the Lord’s Supper, agree with the faith we share at Grace. Have received special instruction on the significance of the Lord’s Supper. Believe that in, with, and under the bread and wine they receive Christ’s true body and blood for the forgiveness of their sins. Intend to live a life that pleases God as directed by God’s Word and enabled by the Holy Spirit. If you have questions regarding this, please speak with one of the pastors and you are welcome to remain seated as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Non-communing adults and children may come forward to receive a blessing by folding their hands across their chest.
