Have You “Herd”? World of Work (“W.O.W”) is a program through the Texas Workforce Commission that has partnered with school districts to educate students in developing appropri-ate, real-world career exploration. Sesily Morris, Senior and Cody Mazurek, Junior are the Brookesmith ISD W.O.W Ambassadors. While given the opportunity at the W.O.W Youth Expo in Abilene this past November, Sesily Morris greeted everyone at the door and further guided them to the theater where Cody Mazurek engaged on stage with several thousand students in the audience as they hyped up the crowd while awaiting the guest speaker!

Do you recognize anyone? If you do happen to know someone, please let the school know. These pictures were recently found in the Winchell, TX area. The envelope they were in read, “Society Sunday afternoon at Brookesmith”. The picture on the left has a football that reads “BHS 1911”.

The Lady Mustangs are CO-DISTRICT CHAMPS!!! The Lady Mustangs will play May on Friday for Playoff seed placement in Zephyr at 6:30. With a win Friday night, the Lady Mustangs will secure a first-round bye. With the bye, the ladies will have a practice game verses Ropes, in Wall, on Mon-day. If the ladies secure the #2 seed, they will play Tuesday for Bi-district verses TBD. The Lady Mustangs are poised for a great run deep into the playoffs! Keep driving ladies!!! Congratulations!!!

The Mustangs picked up a district win over Mullin and played a tough game with Richland Springs. The Mustangs will finish district play at home against Sidney on Friday and at Blanket on the 18 th. Finish strong Mustangs!!

The Junior High Lady Mustangs picked up a victory at home against Mullin. The Junior High Lady Mustangs ended their season against Richland Springs. The Junior High Lady Mustangs ended with a record of 4-5 on the year, this young junior high team is poised to dominate for years to come. Great season ladies! The Junior High Mustangs The Mustangs ended their season against an undefeated Richland Springs team. The Mustangs ended their year with a record of 4-5. A tremendously talented group of Mus-tangs!
