PROVEN EXPERTISE FOR TODAY’S DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES.
What does it take to turn unused land into a center of commerce or
residential life? We know the answer in precise detail. Since 1976,
Abercrombie & Associates, Inc. has helped land owners, developers
and builders plan and create successful developments. We bring the
latest technologies and insights of our profession to your project, as
well as good communication, cost-consciousness and a desire to
create a trusting long-term relationship.
We specialize in site roadway and utility development, surveying and
civil engineering for governmental agencies, architects, design-build
contractors, builders and developers, individual property surveys, title
surveys, and construction staking for general contractors. Our experi-
ence ranges from small individual projects to large industrial projects,
and we are licensed in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
At Abercrombie & Associates, Inc., we’ve seen the development chal-
lenge evolve, a result of simple economics. Land deemed prime from
a location standpoint is increasingly less accessible and less conducive
to improvement in this region. Given this reality, our skill, professionalism
and problem-solving come into play more than ever. Abercrombie
experience, ingenuity and resources are critical to realizing our cus-
tomers’ goals in a timely and “build-able” manner.

SurveyingOur surveying group is the first on site, with the goal of precisely document-
ing the land and its features. An accurate and complete base plan is essen-
tial, since subsequent steps rely on facts established in the survey work.
We pride ourselves on delivering quality and thorough surveying work with
a friendly and professional attitude. From boundary and utility survey
through construction staking, we take time to make sure the job is done
right and in a timely fashion, without cutting corners.
Many Abercrombie & Associates, Inc. employees are involved in local civic and
social organizations. This increases the firm’s presence in the community and
helps sustain strong relationships with local governments and councils.
Engineering Reliable and accurate infrastructure design—bringing precise capability,
structure and systems to land development projects—is the foundation of
our engineering department. We have experience in a range of project
areas including:
+ Extreme topography
+ “Green” design and sustainability
+ Absence of existing infrastructure
+ Drainage and control resolutions
+ Aging infrastructure
For many years, Abercrombie & Associates, Inc. has partnered with Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in a
co-op program that gives students real-world surveying experience.
Pre-Planning The first step of any project is to develop a plan that helps bring clarity
and feasibility to our client’s development concept. Abercrombie &
Associates, Inc. has the knowledge and experience to know what is
possible, and what it will take to complete the project. We provide a
variety of services including:
+ Preliminary layout, grading & utility plans
+ Due diligence studies
+ Engineering estimates
+ Government/Municipal interaction
ZoningOver 30 years of experience has given us a great understanding of zon-
ing requirements, regulations and what it takes to move a project
through regulatory complexity. It doesn’t matter if it’s a subdivision, retail
center, school, or an office park—we know the necessary procedures
and documentation, and how to present it in a precise and organized
manner. We are adept at coordinating other necessary elements to
ensure that all requirements are met.
Over the years technology
advancements have allowed
for more detailed and
efficient surveying. Today,
our use of global positioning
and total station technology
enables us to do our job
with more efficiency and
optimum results.
Many of the most conducive
building sites have already
been developed throughout
the Tri-state area and
across the U.S. The often
challenging land that remains
requires expertise and care
in development, planning
and execution.
