The City of Freeborn is seeking candidates for the part-time position of City Clerk. The City Clerk provides high quality management assistance as required by the City Officials, City Or-dinances, and operational needs of the organization. Duties include manage and coordinate activities supporting the City Treasurer, Council, Fire & Ambulance Department, including agenda and meeting minutes. The city clerk is responsible for official records, elections, voter registration, contract assistance, bidding, public notices, and licensing, as well as serve as a responsible authority for MN Data Practices Act and Citywide records retention. Qualified candidates must have at High School Diploma/GED, with at least six months experience with Microsoft Office programs. Qualified candidates will have excellent customer service skills with the public and private entities, self-motivated, and can work independently with lim-ited supervision. This position is expected to be 16 hours a week, with more hours available during busy seasons.
