Fatigue is one of the most significant safety and wellbeing hazards in the workplace. Fatigue impacts organisational outcomes, including turn-over, lost productivity, operational errors, and safety incidents. It can affect people in each layer of an organisation, from management staff, to field operators, to office personnel.

Despite most organisations having fatigue management policies and practices in place, reduced alertness continues to remain a safety and wellbeing challenge.

alertMIND™ is designed to assist supervisors to motivate their crew to engage in managing their fatigue and maintaining alertness in the workplace. alertMIND™ is based on current

psychological and neuroscientific research about fatigue and alertness as they relate to the heavy resource industry. Through this process, supervisors gain an understanding of the brain functions involved in alertness with application to workplace performance; further develop their leadership toolkit for leading an alert culture; and enhance their practical skills in applying alertness control measures consistent with company policy to invest in workplace safety.
