Design EngineeringND’s Design Engineering group fabricates the custom processing equipment used at each Application Center. ND machines achieve some of the fastest rates in the industry while the parts being processed exhibit both excellent visual and performance qualities.

Research & DevelopmentND’s highly trained Research and Development staff is dedicated to the formulation and testing of our pre-applied and user-applied products. They provide technical support and can assist customers in building personalized fastener coating solutions.

Compound BlendingAs a fully integrated company, ND manufactures all pre-applied chemical formulations in-house at our compound blending facility. Toll blending services are available for customers who request to have their own chemical formulations blended, packaged, and prepared for sale.

A range of products developed to prevent seizing, reduce installation torque, limit material adhesion, and more. Masking and lubricating products can decrease assembly and disassembly time which leads to an increase in productivity. Applied directly to fasteners they are ready for use right out of the box with no curing or drying required.

Based on the principle of prevailing torque, inert thread locking products provide instant fastener retention and sealing properties with the added benefit of adjustability and reusability. Inert threadlockers are highly chemical resistant and eliminate the need for costly lock washers, cotter pins, or castellated nuts.

Nylon dry fused to internal or external threads which increases prevailing torque and stops a fastener from loosening.

Typically a tough plug or pellet of nylon which is inserted into fastener threads to make it self-locking, self-sealing, and adjustable.

ND Pell-It® Soft Touch TipNylon or Brass tip insert on

fastener set screws or bolt ends which prevents damage to mating parts. Highly reusable.

ND Strip®

Nylon bar inserted into milled slot in fastener threads to make it self-locking and self-sealing. Works on a wide variety of fastener types.

Vibra-Tite® VC-3®

Versatile thread coating which absorbs vibration and prevents loosening. Works on practically any size fastener or material.

Reactive thread locking products are dry to the touch adhesives pre-applied to internally or externally threaded fasteners. During installation the encapsulated components mix, causing a chemical reaction which locks together and seals the mating parts. In specific formulations an expansion also occurs, filling the gaps between fastener threads.
