As official sponsor, Fassi welcomed 80 customers and dealers to Don-ington for the 6th round of the 2015 World Superbike Championship in May. 2013 World Champion, Tom Sykes ended an 8-round winless streak in great fashion as he stepped atop the podium twice at his home track, elevating the number of consecutive wins he has taken at the British venue to an impressive six. The all-British podium was completed in both encounters by Chaz Davies and series leader and eventual 2015 champion, Jonathan Rea. Our customers were able to enjoy the race from the sponsors hospitality area and meet the riders in person on the pit walk between races. It started with an order for a pair of

F140s at the SAIE Show in Bologna in 1996. Twenty years on, Sales Director Tony Hitchcock placed Walker Crane Services’ 1000th crane order with Fassi - an F820RA for Essex-based Webster Miller which will be featured in the next issue of Fassi UK News.

New F545RALight enough for 3-axle chassis

The F545RA xe-dynamic is the last model in the XE range. An all-new crane designed to complete the high capacity range between the F485RA xe-dynamic and the F560RA he-dynamic models, the F545RA achieves Fassi’s goal of producing a true 50tm crane with a footprint compact enough for installation on a 3-axle chassis. The new crane outperforms the smaller model with a 10% increase in lifting capacity for just a

3% increase in weight. The power-to-weight ratio benefits from the outrigger spread be-ing increased to 7.8m, ensuring stability for challenging lifts. The footprint, however, is only 85mm bigger, maintaining the compact dimensions of the smaller F485RA. The F545RA is available with up to eight hydraulic extensions in various combina-tions offering a load moment up to 53tm and a hydraulic outreach of up to 24.90m.

New F65B & F70BMore bang, less bulk

We’re proud to present two new models that represent the renewal of our small crane range, available from January 2016. With a load moment capacity of between 6 and 7 tm, the F65B and the F70B are even more lightweight and they use the new boom link system for improved performance. The use of ultra high strength steels in the construction of the F65B offers 9% reduction in weight, while the new linkage

design of the primary and secondary joints provides a 9% increase in the hydraulic reach. The F65B.1 comes with the FX500 control system and the e-dynamic version includes RCH/RCS radio control. Four base versions can be fitted with up to four hydraulic extensions on all models. The addition of the Fassi XP system upgrades the crane to the 7 tm class, where it becomes the F70B.1.

Celebrating 100 years with Beers

8 FASSIUK: newsand finally

2016 sees Beers Timber & Building Supplies celebrate a century in business, and a decade as loyal Fassi customersBeers Timber & Building Supplies made its first investment in a Fassi crane back in 2005. The company purchased a pair of Fassi F110A.22s which are still going strong a decade later, seen below with the latest additional to the fleet, a new F135A.0.22, supplied and fitted by Fassi Main Dealer, The Crane Centre. Beers began life in 1916, and celebrates 100 years in business this year, with five builders and six plumbers merchants in the North West to its name. The company bought its first Fassi crane because of the low weight and value for money. After 10 years of dependable service, Director Simon Geering said that he’s sure he made the right choice. His latest Fassi purchase is sure to be a valuable addition to his fleet in this centenary year.
