IN HIS WORDS

Brian McKnight: Let me rst say that it is a real pleasure and honor to be here with all of you this evening. You never know what road will take you down. Yes, I’m dressed very funny today. Sometimes, I do that. [Guests laugh] I’m not that funny B. It’s good to laugh. We were on the golf course today and we didn’t play very well. Sometimes, that happens.

We knew we were coming by here today and just wanted to express our feelings. You know, when it seems like the night is dark as it can pos-sible can, there are those of us who

are thinking of you. There those of us, who have the passion for you to come by and to just say hello how are you doing. To let you know that there is a plan. It may not seem like there is a plan. Whatever the circum-stances happen to be. Whatever road you have to be down at this point that GOD does plan. If you trust in him, trust in that plan and he will bring that plan to formation for you. I know it may seem like those of us who may be on television that we have some direct pipeline that GOD had given to us. That just happens to be that plan at that time. We all have

our problems. Trust me. More money, more problems. But at the end of the day, there is still a plan for all of us. It’s really up to us to see that plan through. If I can do anything for you, I can lend the skills that I have with this guitar. This is not my guitar by the way. Guests laugh] This is a song that I used to sing and it talks about saying yes to the Lord, even when things are going well, you say yes to the Lord. When things are going bad, you still say yes. I want to share that song with you right now.

Brian McKnightMari catches up with Brain McKnight as he visits the San Francisco homeless shelter . While there Mr. Knight oers inspiration, sound advice, service and a song. !

, ,Demetrius BrownI just want to encourage you all to continue to just continue to move forward with any trial that comes your way, any tribulation that you face. Let go and let God. Let go and let God. Everything happens for a reason and God began to put your puzzle togeth-er years ago. And just let God begin to put those pieces in place as they fall and everything will work out. Everything. Continue to believe. Continue to be encouraged. We are honored that you guys will allow us in your space. We don’t know you. You don’t know us. But today we’re family. I just appre-ciate all of you…

A person’s gaze is drawn to your mouth as you speak, eat, smile, or kiss. If your lips are a mess, it says something negative about you. A smooth coat of attering color will emphasize this mobile and beautiful feature of your face. There are so many options for lip cosmetics that it really can be confusing trying to gure out what is best for you.

You have numerous choices in terms of color, wear ability, mois-turizing and sun-protection ca-pabilities, and every brand gives you a variety of products from which to choose. There are four main categories of lip cosmetics: lipstick, lip stain, lip gloss, and lip balm. Here are some facts and suggestions to help clear up your confusion.

What is Lip Stick?Lipstick has been around for a long time. It is speculated that the Egyptians are the earliest known people to use it. Lipsticks contain waxes, oils, pigments, and emol-lients. There are many lipsticks on the market that contain colla-gen, sunscreen, moisturizer, and vitamin E, which all provide lips an extra bonus by moisturizing and protecting them from the environment. There is a variety of lipstick nishes on the market including frosted, matte, cream, and shimmer.

What is Lip Stain?Lip stain is designed to saturate the lip with long-lasting color. Once it dries on the lip, it won’t smear, stain, transfer, or wear un-evenly. Lip stain is a great way to keep lips pretty for hours without the upkeep of reapplications. Lip stains come in a variety of shades. It is always wise to test the color before buying. Lip stains come in a variety of application formulas, including brush-on, marker tip, gel pump, cream, or pot. Lip stain works with any make-up style as it can be used with either a natu-ral or a dramatic makeup applica-tion.

-Light skin tones are complemented with light beige and brown with pink and orange undertones.-Medium skin tones look good with light browns and plum shades.

-Dark skin tones are awesome with wines, plums, browns and deep reds.Bonus Tips for Lips:

Exfoliate –Exfoliate your lips daily to get rid of dead skin that hinders a smooth lip color product application. You can buy lip exfoliators in some stores, but a simple method is to brush your lips gently with your tooth-brush every time you brush your teeth.

Hydrate – Lip products are best applied when the lips are soft and moist. It is best to use a lip balm about ve min-utes before you apply a lip color product. The lip color product will go on smoothly and evenly this way.

Love & Beauty,

What is Lip Gloss?Lip gloss is mainly used to give lips a shiny bril-liance and sometimes a hint of color. You can wear it by itself or as a top layer over lip balm, lipstick or lip stain. Lip gloss can be clear, trans-lucent or come in a range of colors. Also, there are many options to have a lip gloss with a spe-cial nish, such as glitter, frosty, metallic and more. Some lip gloss contains sun protection and moisturizer. You can even have avored lip gloss!

What is Lip Balm?Lip balm is medicine for your lips. It softens and soothes dry, even cracked lips. It may contain medication to heal sore lips. Some lip balm comes with a hint of color. Some lip balm is a-vored. You can buy it in tube, stick, or jar form.

Choosing a lipstick color does not have to be a daunting chore. The most attering lip tones will be one or two shades darker than your nat-ural lip color, according to makeup artist Bobbi Brown. To make this easier, visit cosmetic coun-ters where you are allowed to try lip colors on before you buy them. Use your ngertip to test the lip color on your bottom lip and compare the shade to the upper lip.

e Entrée Is OutFor “Party Goddess” Marley Majcher, that mo-

ment of success in planning an event is as simple as “when the entrée is out.” Or is it?

By Gia Claireincluded monster trucks, a life-sized balloon truck, popcorn and cotton candy machines and a whole host of other unique and fun ideas. When asked about other celebrities for whom she has thrown events, she remarked that Snoop “beat to his own drum” for his vow renewal ceremony and was delightful to work with. And it was delightful that high prole Pierce Brosnon was one of the kind-est, most gracious people to work with. It’s no surprise that Majcher no longer needs to solicit business be-cause, through her success, it now comes to her at such a fast pace. Marley Majcher IS THE Party Goddess, but make no mistake-- when she’s not running the world of events or writing books, she makes time for her three biggest life successes: her small children at home. ey understand Mom’s work ethic but also know that when she’s home, Majcher is just Mom…unwinding like the rest of us with a good ole reality TV show and a little shopping. Suce it to say that if Majcher’s career was an “event”, the entree would be OUT, and she is enjoying the wave of success that comes from dedicating your life to your passion and always believing you can do it. Majcher provided Glam Couture Readers with three quick tips for a successful event: 1. Pick a theme (that answers the question,“What’s the point?”). 2. Be realistic about your budget. 3. Get more bang for the buck. Be smart about things that add impact without cost. Consider using edible items for centerpieces or other arrangements – pretty AND edible! For more info please visit www.thepartygoddess.com

Ihad the great pleasure of interviewing Marley, e Party Goddess, so Glam Couture readers could under-stand the art of successful event planning. Majcher’s enthusiasm and energy were apparent the minute we started to talk. I could see her big smile and feel her drive immediately over the phone. I wanted Glam Couture readers to glean her wisdom of party plan-ning, and also what lead her to become so accom-plished and distinguished in her eld. And although that moment of knowing the event is a success comes when people are fed and happy, the journey to satia-tion was long and hard. Like every fun and exciting career, event planning is one of those careers of which people who like to arrange party favors or decorate to a theme nd themselves saying, “I want to be an event planner!” Majcher knows rsthand that it takes years of hard work, a roller coaster of life events and an unwavering belief to make it happen. From Georgetown to Paris to L.A., the Party Goddess has endured a number of hardships and countless hours of work, all the while maintaining an unending level of enthusiasm and drive to now enter-tain “A-list celebrities to hip, regular Joes.” ese range from Snoop Dogg to Pierce Brosnon, and include several large corporations such as Ralph Lauren and Morgan Stanley. Majcher commented that despite all obstacles, year after year, she believed in herself and knew with-out fail that she was “good at what she did”. She re-marked, “If you want to be successful, you have to have and maintain your enthusiasm.” Clearly, Majcher has shifted the paradigm of party planning and made an empire out of creat-ing beautiful, memorable moments. One of her most exciting events was for Britney Spears’ children that
