series long we’re talking about famous families in the Bible!

The cool thing about learning about these families is that they’re a lot like US!

These families had good times and bad times, and through all of it they learned to trust God.

In each of these true stories we also see how God LOVES and takes care of families that choose to follow Him!

Family game nights can bring out the best and worst of us, but for the most part, playing games allows us to have fun together.

So we’re going to bond as a church family and play a game called “Space Racers”!

Choose the ship you think will win the race! But watch out for those meteor showers!!!

Family_Lesson That was fun, wasn’t it? Raise your

hand if your ship was the winner! (Wait for response)

When you picked a ship, you were putting your trust in that ship to win, but not all the ships won.

On God’s team, we are guaranteed a win!

Abraham was on God’s team. He had to learn to TRUST God completely. He trusted that God would give him and Sarah a child.

But now God was asking Abraham to trust Him with even more… with EVERYTHING!

Matthew was trying to get Debora to believe that she was going to win at least one game of Jenga.

She might not have won it the way she thought she would, but the point is that when she began to trust in what her brother said about her, she had confidence that she could win.

In that same way, if God promised that a great nation would come from Abraham’s family, wouldn’t He keep His promise? (Wait for response)

That is what Abraham remembered when God asked him to sacrifice his only son.

That brings us to our Need to Know today.

o God Helps Families to Trust Him!

Abraham decided to trust God with His whole heart, and God was faithful to him; He provided another sacrifice.

Jesus – God’s only Son – came to earth as the final sacrifice. Jesus died to pay the punishment for our sins.

Three days later, Jesus came back to life! He conquered death and sin! He offers us forgiveness for our sins.

We can continue putting others first when we complete our Family Mission “Get Stuffed”! Ask your parents to purchase a box of stuffing and a packet of gravy mix and deliver them to the Drop Spot at CF Kid’s Check-in any weekend this month. This food will be added to meal boxes just before Thanksgiving and will be distributed to families in need.

Family_Offering_SlideOffering is another way we can show God we trust Him. How? When we give offering we are giving back part of what God has given us. When we do this, we are letting God know we trust Him with our money. This money will then be used to give back to others in our community and even around the world.

Family_Candy Collection_VideoIt’s that time of year again! Candy collection time! We are collecting candy for our FALL FRENZY! Like the video said, no candy with chocolate, gum, or nuts please! You can place the candy at any CF Kids Drop Spot by check in! Kids who donate candy will earn a Candy Collection pin for their lanyard!
