Family Time is the Best Time

The presence of mother, father, grandparents, uncles, aunts and other siblings in the house creates the image of what does a family mean to little children. It is an environment where they learn to respect their elders, they are taught values, they make mistakes and are corrected, and they are loved and cared for unconditionally without any sort of expectations.

However, the traditional image of the families are changing from the conventional type to the atomic type, where child is aware of only few relatives who are extremely close to their parents, apart from father, mother and siblings. Healthy parent children relationship is very important for families, as it creates a foundation for a solid, intra-personal relationship within the family members in the years that follow on. At the time of trouble, the first person that a child turns to no matter how big he becomes, is his parents. Parents are safe zone where every child runs to and believes that solution to all problems will definitely come from there after facing repeated failures.

We belong to a generation today, where kids do not want to be bound to parental ties, they want to be free, they don’t intend to be questioned for any actions of theirs, but the one thing that they don’t mind is the financial help that they receive from parents. World, is becoming more and more selfish these days, but do we have a way to change it and make it the same as old times? I guess not, or probably it’s a bit too late to change anything. But what we can change is the way we deal with children. Every child demands attention from parents and when they don’t get it from them they turn to other people like their friends, close siblings, or also get into bad company of people.

The secret to improve things that have gone bad also lies in our own hands, it just takes three simple words to be said to your child, “I am sorry” and “I love you”, you will see the magic these words do in bringing back your child to the correct path. Often in our own ego, we tend to take children for granted, which is a very wrong attitude and should be changed. Because kids learn to do things seeing their adults, what we do today, might come back to us one day. As the famous saying goes that, life goes round in a full circle.
