November 2017

Family & Consumer Science

From Your FCS Agent Elizabeth Ann Pendleton would like to thank each and every volunteer that

helped during the indoor yard sale. From setting up for two days before and working the day of, it wouldn’t have been successful without you!

During October, I met with more homemaker clubs. I think I’ve made it to almost all of them! I went to Scott County to meet with other new FCS agents from across the state. Make It, Take It, Try It took place and we made Turkey Tulle Wreathes and tasted a Plate It Up! Kentucky Proud recipe. I helped with the indoor yard sale. Cooking Through the Calendar was held early this month, but we prepared and sampled a Crunchy Fall Salad. In partnership with the Mason County Public Library, we held a program for children called Cooking the Books. Truth and Consequences took place on October 18th and 25th. We had such a great turn out of parents and some volunteers said this was the best year of it so far! I went to the senior center and taught a lesson on the importance of exercising your brain. I attended the Licking River Area Annual Meeting with several of our Mason County Extension Homemakers. I ended the month by spending Halloween in the second grade making pumpkin pie in a bag.
