FEEDBACK FROM CARERS
To organise respite simply call us on
Freecall 1800 684 098, drop into one of
our offices in Burnie or Devonport, or we
can visit your home.
You will be assessed by an experienced
co-ordinator who will put together a
personalised plan based upon your
requirements (depending upon available
hours).
We understand that people want the
peace of mind of having someone in their
home whom they can trust.
FBC support staff are well-trained, have a
current National Police Check and have
signed a confidentiality agreement.
Need care? We’re there!

HOW DO I ARRANGE SUPPORT?
This is a selection of responses received from
carers who have used our respite program:
“They have done everything in their power
to help, even not knowing all the facts. I am
eternally grateful with all your efforts.”
- Marion
“Responded to our desperate need when no
other service could in a timely way”
- Trudy
“Overall comment—very approachable,
understanding. Providing in-house respite for
me is giving me a break to recharge my
batteries”
- Margaret
At Family Based Care we understand how
difficult and tiring it can be at times to care
for someone on a full-time basis and how
welcome a short break can be.
We also know how important it is that your
loved one gets the very best care while you
are away. We can create a respite plan
suited to your specific needs and provide
qualified and trusted staff to perform those
tasks for you.
Our respite services are funded from a
variety of sources and can be organised on
a regular, ongoing basis so carers can take a
break to pursue other interests or
activities. Providing safe and secure
companionships to a loved one can assist a
carer in maintaining a long-term caring
role.
