Amistad Jog-A-Thon

October 24, 2018

Provides a way for students, families, and the community to actively help provide resources for their school. This helps gain a stronger sense of pride in their school.

Family Math Night

November 1, 2018

An event in which students and their families are actively engaged in fun math activities. Where they can learn strategies and ideas to continue at home.

Winter Festival

December 13, 2018

Provides varied activities including reading, math, and crafts. It is meant to have families participate in the activities together and learn from each other. It also serves to provide community resources.

Resource Fair

February 21, 2018

Community resource booths for both parents and children, focus on educating parents on local resources in the community as well as presentations from several community organizations.

Adult/Child Soccer Game

April 25, 2018

A focus of the event is to explain bullying and to

have parents talk about good and bad

sportsmanship with their students.

Ways to be involved in your child’s education at Amistad:

• Set up a place in your home for your child to do their homework, like the kitchen table, and have necessary supplies available (pencils, paper, etc…)

• Check your child’s backpack for important papers and samples of their schoolwork on a regular basis.

• Encourage your child to complete their homework.

• Contact the school whenever you have a question. We are here to help!

• Join your school’s Action Team for Parent Partnerships (ATP).

• Attend at least one parent/teacher conference.

• Esta ley ha sido desarrollada junto con las familias y es actualizada cada año.

• Tenemos una reunión cada año para hablar sobre la Ley Titulo I para mantenerles al tanto acerca de los derechos que los padres tienen de estar involucrados en la educación de su niño(a)s y en la escuela.

• Ofrecemos reuniones con un horario flexible.

Este evento es una oportunidad para que los estudiantes, familias y la comunidad ayuden a proveer recursos para su escuela. También ayuda a los alumnos a sentirse orgullosos de su escuela.

Festival de inverno

13 de diciembre, 2018

Tendremos muchas actividades tales como lectura, matemáticas, y arte. Las familias participarán en las actividades y aprenderán de uno a otro. Además, habrá recursos comunitarios.

Feria de recursos comunitarios

21 de febrero, 2019

En este evento aprenderán sobre los recursos en nuestra comunidad. Habrá presentaciones de parte de muchas organizaciones de la comunidad.

Partido de futbol entre padres y niños

Nuestro enfoque será explicar sobre el acoso (bullying) y el buen espíritu deportivo. Adicionalmente, queremos que los padres de familia nos ayudan a dar buenos ejemplos de comportamiento.

Maneras de involucrarse en la educación de su hijo en Amistad:

• Arregle un lugar en su hogar donde su hijo puede hacer su tarea, por ejemplo la mesa en la cocina, y tenga los útiles necesarios al alcance (lápices, papel, etc…)

• Revise la mochila de su hijo diariamente para saber si contiene papeles importantes o tarea.

• Motive a su hijo a completar sus tareas.

• Contacte la escuela cuando tenga preguntas. ¡Aquí estamos para ayudarle!

• Únase con el Grupo de Acción para la Asociación de Padres (ATP).

• Asista por lo menos a una conferencia de padres y maestros.

• Para más ideas, póngase en contacto con la escuela. ¡Nos encantaría estar asociados con usted!
