Sarab Al-Jijakli is an Account Director with the Ogilvy Noor North America Team. Sarab is a seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience solving business challenges on behalf of numerous Fortune 500 clients. He joined Ogilvy & Mather in 2010 as an Account Director, managing an integrated Global Advertising Technology Account. Prior to joining Ogilvy, he worked at Digitas leading several Relationship Marketing and Digital accounts. In the fall of 2010, Sarab joined the Ogilvy Noor team (the world's first bespoke Islamic Branding practice, offering expert practical advice on how to build brands that appeal to Muslim consumers, globally) and helped lead the public launch of the practice in North America. In addition, Sarab recently founded Ogilvy Doonya, an internal professional network where employees further understand Islamic values, customs, and interests. Sarab is also an active leader in the Network of Arab-American Professionals (NAAP), co-founding the NY chapter and sits on the national board. He is a key driver in strategic community development and capacity building efforts across the national NAAP network along with other Arab-American organizations serving the community. Lisa Mabe is the Founder and Principal of Hewar Social Communications and a recognized expert in social communications, multicultural marketing and the specialty foods field. She has planned and implemented numerous social communications campaigns for several leading Fortune 500 companies and brands. Some of her clients have included: Sodexo USA, Nestle, ConAgra, American Halal Co, Kimberly Clark, Sara Lee, DISH Network, Bissell Homecare, SunTrust Bank, and Wachovia among many others. Lisa is a pioneer in the space of marketing to Muslim consumers, one of the fastest growing consumer segments. Prior to founding Hewar in early 2010, Lisa worked with two leading communications agencies, Frank About Women, the country’s leading marketing-to-women consultancy (a subsidiary of Mullen, an IPG company) and Proof Digital Media (a subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, a WPP company). Lisa is frequently cited in news outlets as a resource on social communications, multicultural marketing, and specialty foods. When not driving client initiatives, Lisa can be found participating in cultural and social events around Washington, DC, horseback riding, cooking international cuisine or adding stamps to her passport from places like Australia, India and the United Arab Emirates.

Besheer Mohamed is a research associate at the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life. He specializes in issues related to religious identity, with a specific focus on Muslim Americans. Prior to joining the Pew Forum, Besheer worked at the University of Chicago’s Survey Lab. Besheer received his Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago. His dissertation examines the relationship between religious identity and social attitudes among American Muslims. He also earned a master’s degree in Middle East Studies from the University of Chicago. John T. Pinna is the Director of Government & International Relations at the American Islamic Congress (AIC). John is responsible for the AIC’s public policy efforts, including all U.S. federal, state and local government liaison operations. In addition to these duties, he is responsible for the Capitol Hill Distinguished Speaker and Witness Series in D.C., conducting briefings on Capitol Hill, civil rights and religious freedom advocacy, legislative tracking and drafting positions on policy. Since he has joined AIC, John has initiated a nation-wide voter registration, civic engagement and constituency mobilization program. John comes to AIC with 13 years of governmental relations experience. Notably, John worked for the National Home Builders Association (NAHB) in Las Vegas, interfacing with local officials, assembling focus groups, and later drafting legislation to preserve and enhance industry interests throughout the U.S. Working for the U.S.-Russia/China Build Program, John was the chief spokesperson for the international education segment. The later 6 years of his career John ran his own international government relations consulting firm. John has also taught at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he was in charge of creating writing and technological programs to benefit students. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Eurasian history with minors in Russian and religion and a master’s degree in diplomacy with a concentration in conflict resolution. Rafi-uddin Shikoh is the Managing Director and Founder of DinarStandard™, leading a marketing research and advisory firm specializing in the Emerging Muslim markets of Halal/ Muslim Lifestyle, Islamic Finance, and OIC member country markets. Since 2008, Rafi-uddin has been advising companies large and small on market expansion analysis, investment planning, and marketing strategy with specialization in the emerging Muslim markets.
