Think of a recent/current political event.I will help brainstorm (for 5 minutes).

Write down (free write) terms and ideas regarding the event – you will have 5 minutes.

Create a nursery rhyme that children will read and be able to understand what is happening in the political event. (Requirements on next slide).

Requirements:Must rhyme (otherwise it’s not a nursery rhyme, is it?)

Have a least 4 linesThe political event must be recognizable but do not specifically mention.

Trade with the person to your left – read the nursery rhyme and determine the political event clues in the rhyme. Write your guess on a piece of paper and attach to nursery rhyme.

Turn into your bin – handwritten assignments will be fine today! Don’t forget your name and period.
