Free Tuition for First Classes of Kaiser Permanente
Medical School
Look into medical school programs with tuition and scholarship support! Kaiser
Permanente Medical School will be accepting applications and have their first
class begin 2020. Their first 5 graduating classes will have the opportunity of
this free tuition program. "Like N.Y.U., Kaiser’s main goal is to keep students
from forgoing lower-paying specialties like family medicine because of crushing
debt, or foreclosing the option of medical school altogether because of the
cost."

Special suicide awareness and prevention exhibit will be hosted at MJC at the East Campus Quad from 9:00 AM– 4:00 PM on Thursday April 4. Make sure to stop by the exhibit as the stigma that surrounds mental illness is the reason why many students don’t seek the help they need. Send Silence Packing® is an acclaimed exhibit that has traveled the country to end the silence that surrounds mental illness and suicide. The emotionally powerful display includes personal stories from individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide, and is designed to raise awareness about the impact of suicide, connect individuals to mental health resources, and inspire action for suicide prevention. Passersby are invited to walk among the Send Silence Packing backpacks to see the photographs and read the stories attached to them. Many of the backpacks were donated by families who lost a student to suicide.
