Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of FADONA, I am very pleased to welcome you to our virtual 33rd Annual Convention & Trade Show – Carrying the Torch of Leadership 2020: Sounds of Success. We’re so glad you’re here.
Convention Chair and 1st Vice President Betty Barron and her planning team worked diligently to develop an exceptional agenda filled with education, networking, and fun.
There will host an orientation at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, followed at 5 p.m. with the Welcome Reception that is sponsored by Consulate Health Care. Don’t forget to bring your own refreshments!
Please join us Tuesday and Wednesday at the Trade Show and connect with our sponsors and exhibitors. Each company has its own virtual booth, many filled with content like fliers, brochures, links, and videos. There is even a Trade Show Lobby where you can meet the reps. We are excited to invite you to play the Sounds of Success Exhibitor Challenge. Itʼs a two-stage scavenger hunt where attendees earn points towards $200, $100 or $50 gift cards. See the Exhibitor Challenge icon on the mobile app to view the top point earners on the Leaderboard, as you climb up the ranks too.
We have more than 60 exhibitors at our convention this year, and their support is very important to FADONA. Please be sure to show them your appreciation by visiting each and every one multiple times during the Trade Show. You can also schedule time to speak with many of them one on one. Check out the Trade Show Icon for more information.
We have a very special keynote presentation on Wednesday featuring Julia Fox Garrison, and we are very grateful for United Apollo’s generous sponsorship.
The Virtual Awards Luncheon & Ceremony are featured on Wednesday. This is when we salute Floridaʼs best and brightest. The event is always uplifting and inspiring. Don’t forget to bring your own lunch and relax as sponsors Optum and RB Health Partners help us present the awards.
In keeping with our convention theme, Sounds of Success, we are fortunate to have an excellent lineup of nursing leadership topics presented by highly knowledgeable speakers.
By working together we have become, and will continue to be, a cohesive force through which we will produce positive changes in our industry. Networking at meetings like this is vital and ultimately benefits the residents of our facilities. They become the beneficiaries of our increased knowledge and proactive stance.
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you as FADONA’s president this past year. Again, welcome and enjoy yourselves. Sincerely,
Susie Jensvold, BSN, MHSA, RNPresident
