Carrie has been an integral part of the Admissions & Transferteam since 2006. As a mom to Austin and Charli, Carrie can befound most nights and weekends running to hockey rinks,baseball diamonds, and board meetings for the LethbridgeRingette Association. Carrie’s creativity, passion to servestudents, and leadership through projects has been a key role inthe success of the team and Registrar’s Office. Whetherassisting you over the phone or in person, it is clear from the momentthat you begin working with her that not only is she going to help you,but that everything is going to be ok. Alyssa’s roles range from generalMoodle support on a daily basis to ensuring that exams run smoothlyboth inside and outside the Test Centre and beyond to helping todeliver external exams for students who require a space to completeexams for other institutions. Her attention to detail and dedication toensuring that students have a positive experience anytime they interactwith Moodle are inspiring.

Dr. Luis Escobar is an esteemed scholar at the Dhillon School ofBusiness whose research encompasses corporate socialresponsibility, sustainable development, green capabilities andcorporate strategy issues within MNEs and the Oil and Gassector. As a faculty member, in both the InternationalManagement Area and the Policy and Strategy Area, Luis’teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level focuses onpromoting student engagement and scholarly inquiry. As arespected and trusted colleague, his insight and collegialsupport has been greatly appreciated over the last 15 years atthe University of Lethbridge.

In hisspare time, he’s the brewmaster for Theoretical Brewing!

In Bonnie’s 15 years with Health Sciences, she has spearheadedthe development of the Congruence Couple Therapy model, animportant innovation in addiction treatment. Also of note, shehas been instrumental in facilitating successful internationalcollaborations on research and teaching in China and Greeceand providing leadership on internationalization of thecurriculum.

Murray Lindsay

Murray Lindsay is the former Dean of the Faculty ofManagement and currently Professor of Accounting. Previously,he taught at Western University in the Richard Ivey School ofBusiness and the Edwards School of Business, University ofSaskatchewan. A recent President of the ManagementAccounting Section of the American Accounting Association, hisresearch interests involve the design of management controlsystems to foster empowerment and strategic adaptation,developing a methodology for bridging the academic research–practice divide, and addressing the reproducibility crisis inscience.

In the past 15 years, Brian has provided the Universitycommunity with a variety of services, including web design,graphic design, and his work as the Digital Signageadministrator. Annie Martin has taught in the Department of Art since 2005.Annie’s teaching has included foundation courses along withdrawing, painting, advanced and senior studio. Annie’s recentexhibition is entitled Oh Death at the Trianon Gallery,Lethbridge.

Dawn McBride

Dr. Dawn Lorraine McBride, a registered psychologist and anassociate professor, teaches in the graduate counselling programhoused in the Faculty of Education. Her main areas of researchand clinical practice center around promoting value-based ethicsand educating people about emotional regulation to reducesuffering and promote healthy functioning. She recently won anaward from a major women's shelter for providing exceptionalclinical and ethical consultation to their staff.

Kevin currently holds a Board of Governor’s Research Chair inArchaeological Theory and Reception and has just completed a term asa Teaching Centre Teaching fellow. However, this semester Kevin hascontinued to work closely with the Teaching Centre, so much so that hehas been banned from contacting the YuJa help line directly given hisuse of colorful metaphors with those technicians.

As an Alumni of the University of Lethbridge BA and following up with her Masters in Business Administration: Project Management Kari is continually looking at new learning opportunities. Dr. HJ Wieden is a driver of research innovation who excels atidentifying and implementing new opportunities. He leads a highly-productive research program and has implemented many successfulinitiatives such as the award-winning iGEM program, the Alberta RNAResearch and Training Institute (ARRTI), the Synbridge Maker Space,and the NSERC CREATE training program in RNA Innovation. He isdeeply engaged in policy development and advocacy through theCanadian Society of Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) as president-electand as advisor to the international NTI:Bio program aiming to reducebiosecurity threats.
