DESCRIPTION

Lakota Guides has been offering whitewater trips in Colorado since the late 80s. The mission remains the same, to provide high adventure with your safety in mind. Based near the world reknowned ski areas of Vail and Beaver Creek, guests are drawn here in summer and winter. Lakota operates on the Eagle, Arkansas and Colorado Rivers providing our clients the best whitewater experiences available. The Eagle River offers both Class II-III family trips as well as more adventurous Class IV whitewater during May and June. Guests looking for a raft trip along the #1 most commercial sought after river, the Arkansas River, can enjoy Class III to Class V experiences from June through August. However, there is nothing more memorable than a trip down the Colorado River, the largest watershed in the entire State. The Colorado flows year-round offering family float trips from Class II to III. For those looking for a more high adventure trip, Gore Canyon presents one of the countries most challenging Class V river sections. Lakota offers rafting trips, as well as majestic offroad tours high up in the Colorado backcountry. Many of our tours take clients up and over 11,000 feet to panoramic views leaving one speechless. Lakota Guides pioneered many new adventures over the years and still provides unique opportunties including Night Vision tours. Along this Class II stretch of river, the stars can be seen from horizon to horizon. This experience is like none other. Lakota Guides is also the only full service, multi-day raft company in the Vail area. Guest do not need to pack their own camping gear as Lakota provides all the equipment for the trip. Lakota continues to expand the adventures we offer and to refine our other trips giving guests a unique Colorado experience.
