Division 2.5, California Health and Safety Code, Sect ions 1797.103, 1797.250 and 1798.150, allows the State EMS Authority to establish guidelines for the utilization of hospital facilities according to critical care capabilities and requires local EMS agencies to utilize planning and implementation guidelines developed by the State EMS Authority in the assessment of hospitals and critical care centers.
