team to retain this excellent form. Second Grade take on a Woy Woy side who will make it a very difficult day on the park at their home ground. The Trojans Seconds remain undefeated and have shown we have great depth across the park in all positions. There is amazing talent in this Trojan side who will strongly contest the Final Series. Our Thirds plays a top four side in Woy Woy who will test our mighty team. The Trojans are currently right on the pace for a great year, so expect lots of enthusiasm and an interesting match in this one. The Trojan Womens team have started the year on fire and will be keen to keep up their winning form against last year’s Grand Finalists. The girls are rested and ready for this clash after two byes. This will be a really interesting match up where Terrigal are keen to show their improvement over last year against a strong Woy Woy Womens side. Terrigal will play running rugby this weekend as a Club. So, be there at Woy Woy Oval to watch our top Trojans meet the Woy Woy challenge. And, remember let's have a few drinks with the Woy Woy Club after the match. Remember the Golden Schooner will be on the line again this weekend against Woy Woy. John Stevens President

This weekend when we play Woy Woy one of our favourite Trojans, Mitchell Clack runs out for his 250th game for the Trojans. This is a huge milestone and enters Clacky into an elite group of players who have reached this number of games. Great Rugby Mitchell Clack. You’re a true Trojan

LAST WEEKEND A big crowd showed up to the Gosford match where the Haven turned on the weather for a great day of rugby. The Trojans hosted the Gosford Club, where two undefeated teams played off in First Grade. The 45-8 victory for Terrigal did not represent the physicality of the match where Terrigal took their chances and were able to convert opportunities to points. Gosford forced Terrigal to defend their line for repeated phases of rugby with Gosford leading the match in the first 20 minutes. Well done Trojans on the victory, it was always going to be a hard match. The Trojan forward pack put on a particularly strong performance in scrummaging on the day which enabled our backs to spread the ball. Best players for First Grade were Vaughan Kernan, Nathan Simpson and Elekana Laupolo.

Second Grade was a quality match where last year’s Grand Finalist Gosford threw everything they had at the Terrigal side early. The Trojan forward pack laid the foundation for the victory with an excellent performance on the day. Popo, Meaty and Michael Beckers all had strong matches and deserved their points. It was great to welcome back Frankie Webber to the Trojans after his travels to England. Well done Trojans on this quality victory. 1sts 45-8 v Gosford Tries: Sekope Maea 2, Nathan Simpson, Jim Storey, Dylon Calabria, Dan Sargeant Conversions: Jayden Woolley 6 Penalty Goal: JW 1 3pts - Vaughan Kernan 2pts - Nathan Simpson 1pts - Elekana Laupola 2nds 38-3 v Gosford Tries: Jay Grogan, Michael Beckers, Salipopo Pamata, Aaron Tait, Dylon Williams, Frankie Webber Conversions: Aaron Tait 4 3pts - Salipopo Pamata 2pts - Ryan Metcalfe 1pts - Michael Beckers Colts 45-12 v Gosford Tries: Chad Shipton 4, Matt Kokegai, Hugh Naven, Colin Sneyd Conversions: Nick Armstrong 4 3pts - Shipton 2pts - Naven 1pts - Sneyd

Last week’s Trojan was Ben Newport which was guessed by Steve Duncan who will now be collecting the beers. Who is this week’s Trojan?? Obviously part of our womens team. The first Terrigal person to correctly identify and reply to this email wins four beers at the rugby at our next home game on 25 May. You must be at the game to collect!

THANK YOU NIELS BOWEN

Proud Third Grade sponsor, Niels Bowen of Chemist Outlet put on free beers for the Third Grade team on the basis the team approached the bar wearing their Chemist Outlet jumpers.

It is believed Mungo took full advantage of the situation and the boys had a great day. Well done, Niels.
