Facebook Marketplace Posting Application Welcome to the Auction123 Facebook Marketplace Posting Application!

This document includes steps for

• Installation Instructions,

• Using Posting Application to Post Inventory,

• Using Posting Application to Remove Inventory

Installation Instructions

• Install the Chrome Web browser on your system if it is not already installed.

o The Posting Application uses Chrome to connect to your Facebook page.

o You can download and install Chrome from https://www.google.com/chrome/

• Download the application through one of these options:

o Direct link - https://static.auction123.com/downloads/fbpostingtool/setup.exe

o You can also download the application from your Auction123 Dashboard.

▪ Click on Account Settings in the left-side navigation, and then

▪ Click on the Facebook Marketplace tab on the top of the window.

▪ Click the blue bar to download the application.

• Run the application once downloaded.

• Windows may bring a prompt that it does not recognize the program it would look like this -

o If it does, click More Info and then Run Anyway

o You will now see the Setup Wizard open, click next

• Click next again

• Click next again to confirm install

• A screen may pop up asking if you want to allow this app to make changes. Click yes, this will allow us to post in

the background of your PC.

• The application will now install. Once done the screen will say Installation Complete. You can then click Close.

Using the Posting Application to Post Inventory

Note: Each time you run the application, it will check for any updates, and may kick off re-installation of the application

• Open Application

o This can be found on your desktop or by clicking the windows icon on your taskbar and typing

‘Auction123 Facebook Marketplace Posting Tool’

• Login using your Auction123 credentials

• If you have access to multiple accounts in Auction123, you will see a page to select which account you want to

access. Select the account

• Now enter your Facebook Username Credentials

• If you have Two Factor Authentication enabled, you will be prompted to enter that next.

• You will now be logged into the application

• From here, you can select the units you would like to post.

o You can select multiple units to post by holding down the CTRL key and clicking each unit you want to

post.

o You can also click ‘Select All’ if you would like to post all units.

• Next you will want to select which Facebook Page to post to. You can select to post to marketplace as your

personal Facebook account or to the business page (recommended) by clicking the dropdown and selecting the

account. This dropdown will show all Facebook Accounts that are hooked up to Facebook Marketplace for the

dealer that you are currently on.

o We recommend posting as the business page whenever available. Some Facebook Accounts may only

have access to post as their personal account, when that occurs you should select your personal account

for posting.

• Once you have selected the unit(s) you want to post, as well as the page you would like to post to click ‘Post

Vehicles’

o You can now minimize the posting tool and let it do its work in the background. It will go through the

process and let you know when it’s done posting each unit in the result section. Leave the application

open until it has posted all units.

Using the Posting Application to Remove Inventory • Open Application

• Login using your Auction123 credentials

• Now enter your Facebook Username Credentials

o If you have Two Factor Authentication enabled, you will be prompted to enter that next.

• Click Remove From Marketplace at the top

• Next click Download Vehicles From Your Account

• The units will appear. You can now select the units that you would like to remove. You can hold down the CTRL

key and click multiple units at once or select all if needed.

• Click ‘Remove From Marketplace’

o You can now minimize the posting tool and let it do it’s work in the background. It will go through the

process and let you know when it is done removing each unit in the result section. Leave the application

open until it has removed all units.

• Once completed it will show the results on the bottom and say Done

Uninstalling the Auction123 Facebook Marketplace Posting Tool • Click the Windows Icon on your taskbar

• Type ‘add or remove programs’

o • Scroll down the page until you find Auction123 Facebook Posting Tool

o • Click it and then click Uninstall

• A window may popup asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.

o • The program will now be deleted from your device
