IDEE IDEA___

FABSPACE basiert auf der Idee eines temporären Hangars. Modular im Baukastenprinzip konzipiert, bietet FABSPACE eine neuartige Lösung für großräumige Überdachungen. Durch den Einsatz von speziellen Textilien ergibt sich dabei eine Struktur, die einfach und kostensparend in Auf- und Abbau ist und dabei ästhetische Ansprüche erfüllt. Durch die Kombination einer leichten Rahmenkonstruktion und der textilen Membranbespannung findet FABSPACE seinen Einsatz als Schutzhülle für Flugzeuge genauso wie als Public Space-Location on demand. Die derzeitigen Geometrien und Abmessungen sind für folgende Flugzeugtypen geeignet:  FABSPACE is based on the idea of a temporary hangar. By its modular concept FABSPACE offers a new solution for large-scale canopies. Through the use of special textiles, we have created a structure that is simple and inexpensive in construction and dismantling and meets aesthetic requirements as well. By combining a lightweight frame construction and the textile membrane covering, FABSPACE is an excellent protective covering for aircrafts as well as a public space location on demand.

MODUL MODULE___

FABSPACE ist das Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit des Designstudios Rainer Mutsch mit Arcitex. Geschaffen wurde ein modulares System in einer monolithischen Form mit Konturen und Flächen eines Kristalles. Durch die besondere Formgebung ist hierbei weniger Material und somit auch weniger Volumen erforderlich als bei herkömmlichen Bauweisen. Im Modul V01 können die Eckmodule mit den 12m Mittelelementen endlos miteinander kombiniert werden. Als Systemlösung sind dabei auf einer einheitlichen Fläche die Grundsatzanforderungen wie ein Folienrolltor, der Eingangsbereich, die Fluchtwege, Be- und Entlüftung sowie natürliche Belichtung integriert. FABSPACE kann ohne herkömmlicher, aufwändiger Fundierung auf Wiesen oder Asphaltflächen installiert werden. Das System ist durch seine Modularität flexibel und wird auf jede Anforderungen angepasst. Die Montagezeit, das Gewicht und somit die Gesamtkosten sind durch die Leichtbauweise im Vergleich zum konventionellen Hallenbau deutlich geringer. Als weiteren wesentlichen Vorteil ist die natürliche Belichtung, die durch die transparenten Einschnitte ermöglicht wird, sowie das harmonische natürliche Raumklima durch die leichte Bekleidung der Folienmembrane. FABSPACE is designed by Rainer Mutsch studios in collaboration with the upper Austrian Company Arcitex. It was created as a modular system in a monolithic form with contours and surfaces of a crystal. Through the base of this special shap, less material is needed than in similar constructs. All elements can be combined and a central section might be extended infinitely in the dimension of 12 meters. As a system solution, the basic requirements such as a film roller shutter, entrance area, escape routes, ventilation and natural lighting are integrated on a unitary area. FABSPACE can be installed on grass or asphalt surfaces without a conventional, expensive foundation. The system is flexible by its modularity and adaptable to specific requirements. The total costs and assembly time are low due to the lightweight construction compared to conventional hall construction. As a further significant advantage natural lighting is made possible through window films should be mentioned.

AUSSTELLUNGEN EXIBITIONS___

Die Version V01 FABSPACE wurde zum ersten Mal in Kooperation mit dem Österreichischem Bundesheer und Red Bull Stratos im Zuge der Airpower 2013 in Zeltweg AT gezeigt. Die Ausstellung der original Stratos Kapsel mit Raumanzug lockte in 2 Ausstellungstagen ca. 25.000 Personen durch das Fabspace.

The version V01 Fabspace was presented for the first time in cooperation with the Austrian Armed Forces and Red Bull Stratos as a part of “Airpower 2013“ in Zeltweg, Austria. The Exhibition of the original Stratos capsule with the spacesuit lured about 98.000 people through the Fabspace during the two exhibition days.

FLUGZEUG & EVENT / AIRCRAFT & EVENT___

Der Name FABSPACE wird abgeleitet von „modulary fabric space“. So bietet das System als Hangar genauso die Möglichkeit kleine Flugzeugklassen und Sportflugzeuge unterzubringen wie als Halle für Events zu fungieren. Der „modulary fabric space“ wird damit je nach Wunsch auch zum „fabulous space“. Die Vorteile liegen auf der Hand. Schnell und einfach aufgebaut, zweckmäßig, leistbar in der Anschaffung und multifunktionell einsetzbar. FABSPACE.  The name “FABSPACE“ is derived from "modulary fabric space". Thus, the system offers the function to be an aircraft hangar for smaller and sport aircrafts or a hall for events. So the "modulary fabric space" changes, depending on the need, into a "fabulous space". The advantages are obvious. Quick and easy to set up, useful, affordable and multifunctional. FABSPACE.

MATERIAL MATERIAL___

Durch die textile Leichtbauweise von FABSPACE werden Ästhetik mit ressourcenschonendem Materialeinsatz bei niedrigen Kosten und hoher Lebensdauer vereint. Die Rahmenkonstruktion besteht aus einer feuerverzinkten Fachwerkskonstruktion gemäß DIN EN ISO 1461, jedoch können spezielle Oberflächenbeschichtungen auf Nachfrage ausgeführt werden. Die Bespannung der Membranen erfolgt durch die Technologie von technischen Textilien, welche durch einer hohen Flächenstabilität eine perfekte Streckung und somit keine Verformung bieten. Die Materialien sind mittlerweile Langzeiterprobt und versprechen somit eine lange Lebensdauer.

 The textile lightweight construction at FABSPACE combines aesthetics with a resource saving use of materials at low costs and high durability.The frame construction is made of galvanized steel. The covering of the membrane is made of polyester fabrics with a basis weight of 610 grams per square meter. These materials have undergone long term testing and therefore promise a long life.

PLANE & FARBEN FABRIC & COLORS___

FABSPACE genügt höchsten ästhetischen Ansprüchen im Design und in der Ausführung. Für die Bespannung stehen durch die Verwendung der POLYMAR FR color von MEHLER Texnologies eine große Kollektion von Standardfarben zur Verfügung. Die Bekleidung wird je nach Anforderung und Hallentype in 8212 - 600g/m2 oder in 8540 - 900g/m2 Material ausgeführt. 

FABSPACE satisfies the highest aesthetic claims in design and execution. The cover is created by using the POLYMAR FR color of MEHLER Texnologies. A large collection of standard colours and an camouflage texture is provided. Clothing is implemented depending requirement and hall type in 8212 – 600g/m2 or in 8540 – 900g/m2.

FUNDAMENTE FOUNDATIONS___

FABSPACE kann je nach Hallentype und Ausführungsart mit unterschiedlichen Verankerungsarten ausgeführt werden. Je nach topographischer Situation von FABSPACE wird das statische Ergebnis der horizontalen- und vertikalen Abhubkräfte in folgende Verankerungsmethoden ausgeführt:

•Schwerlast- oder Injektionsanker auf Beton ( V01-02-03)•Erdvernagelung in U Profil auf Asphaltflächen ( V01–02 )•Erdanker in U Profil auf Schotterkoffer (V01-02)•Verankerung auf Betonblöcken in grüner Wiese (V01-02)

FABSPACE can be constructed depending on hall type and execution type with different kinds of anchoring. Depending on the topographical situation of FABSPACE the statically result of the horizontal and vertical lift force will be performed in following anchoring methods:

•Foundation bolts or injection anchors on concrete (V01-02-03)•Ground nailing in U-profile on asphalt floors (V01-02)•Ground Anchor in U-profile on gravel (V01-02)•Anchoring on concrete blocks on the natural earth. (V01-02)

BE- ENTLÜFTUNG VENTILATION___

FABSPACE kann je nach Systemgröße und Anforderung durch Aufdachventilatoren oder Axialventilatoren an der Hallenstirnseite Be- und Entlüftet werden. Die Berechnung dieser Ventilatoren wird immer Projektweise in Abstimmung aller Komponenten wie Untergrund, Lagergut, Halleneinschnitte und Toröffnungsraten durchgeführt. 

FABSPACE

FABSPACE can be ventilated via on-roof ventilatiors or axial ventilators, depending on system size and requirement. The calcculation of these ventilators is executed in coordination of all components. For example: ground, stored substance, hall cuts and door opening rates.

Die Version V01 FABSPACE wurde für Kleinflugzeuge & Events konzipiert. Die Grundrissfläche ist mit 13,10m x 16,10m auf diversen Untergründen wie Beton / Asphalt oder Schotterkoffer in der grünen Wiese zu Installieren. Die natürliche Belichtung durch die Fensterglasfolien an Dach und Fassade geben ein natürliches und harmonisches Raumklima. Der Zugang zur Halle erfolgt durch einen Kubus mit Personentüre an der Hallenrückseite. In diesen Kubus ist auch die gesamte Haustechnik mit Strom und Lüftung sowie die Torsteuerung integriert.

The release V01 FABSPACE was designed for small aircrafts and events. The ground plan area is easy to install on the grass or undergrounds like concrete/asphalt or gravel.The natural lighting creates a natural and harmonic indoor climate due to its window glass film on the roof and the front. The hall entrance is located in a cube with a door on the rear of the hall. In this cube the whole housing technology with electricity and ventilation as well as the obsegating is integrated there.

ABMESSUNGEN MEASUREMENTS ___

Version V02 FABSPACE ist an der Außengeometrie ident mit der V01 Hülle. Die Zufahrt erfolgt nicht wie im V01 Modul über die Längsseite sondern über einen modifizierten Stirnseitenaufbau, welcher von dem Gesamtcharakter der Außenhülle nicht zu unterscheiden ist. Einzige Abänderung ist die Fundierung mittels stapelbaren Megablockelementen in 60 cm Höhenschichten, was eine Herstellung in der grünen Wiese und eine Tordurchfahrtshöhe von 4,10 m ermöglicht. Durch die Verteilung des Baukörpers ist eine besondere Eignung für schmale und lange Objekte, wie Hubschrauberfabrikate des MD Explorers gegeben..

The version V02 FABSPACE external geometry is identical with the V01 shell. The access, unlike the V01 module via the side wall, is via a modified front side structure, which does not differ from the character of the covering. The foundation via stackable mega block elements in contour levels of 60cm, which enables manufacture on the grass and a door clearance height of 4,10m, is the only alteration. Due to the distribution of the building, it has a special suitability for small and long objects, for example, helicopters.

ABMESSUNGEN MEASUREMENTS ___

Die Version V03 FABSPACE Basiert auf den Erfahrungen und Proportionen des Erstmodells. Eine Modifizierung und Anpassung für den S70 Black Hawk zeigt Veränderungen in der Dachhaut – wonach zwei zusätzlichen Flächen entwickelt wurden. Der Zugang erfolgt weiter über den Kubus der Personentüre – die Beschickung des Hallensystems erfolgt mittels Rollwagen durch das Folientor an der Hallenlängsseite.

The Version V03 FABSPACE is based on the experience and proportions of the ancestor model. A modification for the S70 Black Hawk displays changes of the roof skin – after that two extra surfaces were developed. The entrance is still located in the cube. – the loading is accomplished with a cart via the foil-sheet door on the halls long side.

Die Version V04 FABSPACE wurde speziell für dien Anforderungen des Militär entwickelt. Das Konzept basiert für Kampfjets , welche von beiden Seiten Zu- und Abfahrtsmöglichkeiten erhalten und durch die beiden getrennten Torlösungen unabhängig voneinander in Betriebe genommen werden können. Die Innenräume der Hallen werden bis zu einer definierten Höhe mit nichtbrennbaren Textilien bestückt. Der Zugang erfolgt durch die Rolltore oder einem Fluchtwegskubus an den Stirnseiten.

The Version V04 FABSPACE was developed for the US Air Force. The concept bases for the Lockheed Martin F35 jet fighters and has to be played at both sides. The interiors are equipped with non-flammable textiles up to a defined height. The entrance is via roller doors or a escape rout cube on the fronts. The door measurements are 18,5m x 5,8m and 18,5m x 4,8m, which are located opposite each other.

SONDERLÖSUNGEN SPECIAL SOLUTIONS ___

Die Version V05 FABSPACE wurde auf Basis der V01 für mehrere Kleinflugzeuge sowie für Ausstellungsexponate die die Douglas DC3 entworfen. Durch die umlaufende Stahlbetonwand mit +3,0m werden die geforderten Torhöhen von 6,0m ohne großen Verlust der Hallennettonutzfläche erreicht. Die Systemlinien basieren auf den Proportionen der V03 und V04 Geometrien – die Hallenlänge wurde auf 35m erweitert.

The version V05 FABSPACE is based on V01 and was developed for more small aircrafts at once. The system lines base on the volume of the Black Hawk and F35 geometries – the hall length ais extended to 35. Both doors are located on the long sides with 18m each – therefore the possibility to position up to five small aircrafts in the FABSPACE exists.
